Shirtdress as Poetry

dress- Noir via Le Tote , belt-Gap(more belts here ), loafers- G.H. Bass , necklace-vintage, ring-similar here from Bauble Bar , sunnies-Target(similarish here ) Yes, it's been a while since my last post. When I'm not working I tend not to blog, which means I had four days off work, and also off from outfitting. Yes, it's true I sometimes just wear clothes... But I'm back and with a chic vengeance in this shirtdress from my latest tote! First, this is a totes professional frock and even though it had a tie-belt attached to it, I further belted for a more cinched/fitted silhouette. And DAMN I look especially svelte in that last shot, right? Beyond the fine figure I'm able to cut in this dress, I'm also really digging the pattern and how it calls to the season. The photorealistic  print "cut through" with black, nicely mirrors the chillier spring we've been having here, as of last week. A mix of light and dark, fres...

Layered Shirts & A Statement Necklace

I wore my watch OVER my sleeve for fashionable and functional purposes... Fashionable in terms of highlighting the watch, and functional as in I can see the time without having to lift up my sleeve.  blazer-J.Crew(similar here ), shirts- Le Tote , cargoes-Saks off Fifth(similar here ), belt- Gap , boots-Target(similar here ), necklace-gifted The Limited(similar here ), sunnies-ViVI, watch- Nixon via Urban Outfitters I doubled up on the shirts in this outfit for warmth and for color. I've worn this necklace before in this post here . It's a fancy piece and I like to contrast that by wearing it casually. It's fun to "play against type" with certain garments/accessories. Plus this necklace adds a feminine touch to a straight up androgynous look of a plaid shirt, blazer, and flat boots.

Out In The WIld

blouse- Noir Clothing  via Le Tote , pants-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), loafers- Sole Society , necklace/ring- Jewel Mint , bracelet- Adia Kibur via Le Tote Here we see the outfitter in her natural habitat on the street mixing patterns, sporting menswear-inspired elements, and taking on the overgrown shrubbery with her fiercerocity.

Chloe + Isabel Necklace Outfit 3

top- Noir Clothing via Le Tote , skirt-Madewell(sort of similar here ), shoes-Zara(similar here ), bag-Coach(similar here ), necklace- chloe + isabel c/o Angela B Here's the third go round with the chloe + isabel Retro Glam Square-Cut Crystal Necklace c/o fellow fashionista and merchandiser Angela B, check our her blog here .  Previously, I rocked it all normcore here and menswear here , now I'm finally going glam and girly, or as girly as I can go. This ruffly blouse was the perfect feminine backdrop to the clean cut crystals of this necklace. I then paired them with this mini-skirt from Madewell that I've had for a number of years, but I believe this is its first blog appearance. This skirt is pretty short, so I went with flats to avoid any "hoochieness" in the look. And of course my favorite Coach bag from my adoring husband and photographer Mr. Keller.  So, we have a collab necklace, rented top, super-old skirt,...
