Bright Blue Blazer

blazer-J.Crew(similar here ), blouse-Banana Republic(similar here ), culottes-Mango(similar here ), necklace- chloe + isabel , flats-Just Fab(more options here )  This bright blue blazer has been a shining star in my wardrobe for years, seen here , here , and here . It's a versatile piece that's chic, yet graphic and serves as a vibrant third piece . In this look it's bringing some color to otherwise black 'n white office ensemble and creating a nice balance against these oversized culottes.

Black & White Peacock

blazer- J.Crew , tunic-Anthropologie(similar here ), pants- Uniqlo , necklace- Le Tote , loafers-Just Fab(similarish here ), watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) Last month I donned this tunic as a dress for a casual Sunday with the baby in this post . Here, it's another take on the dress-over-pants trend that I finally embraced after well over a year in posts here , here , and here . And, it's really all about the tunic in this outfit. The half-tuck creates an interesting silhouette, the print is a fresh take on the black-and-white color combo, and while yes the necklace and loafers are fun, it's the peacocks that grab the eye.  In terms of office/work wear this is really a fairly standard outfit when broken down. You have trousers, loafers, a blazer, and a button-down. But, with the two-tone shoes, crisp blazer, well-fitting pants and the "alternate" tunic/dress as shirt a more stylish and edgy outfit emerges. Wow...

When In Doubt White Denim

Dapper Dan here with the argyle socks and two-toned loafers.  jacket- J.Crew , shirt-Uniqlo(similar here ), sweater-H&M(similar here ), pants- Zara , loafers-JustFab(similar here ), socks-Target(similar here ), watch- Wegner Nothing says spring like a white denim jacket, amiright?! And it's the prefect add-on to any outfit for a breath of fresh air. AND it's a great alternative to a blazer for a no-frills day at work, which this day ended up being. This striped sweater started off layered over my (by the end of the day wrinkled) shirt, but as with the wrinkles things became a bit laissez faire, and the sweater got tied around my waist for a very laid-back look, which was further supported by these drawstring trousers. Speaking of drawstrings, I'm loving the athleisure trend towards office wear. I recently discovered a new online vendor with an athleisure-esque suiting collection (more on that in tomorrow's post)... But regardle...

The Last Outfit BC

jacket-Piperlime(similar from Asos here ), pants- Gap , tee / socks -Target, loafers-Just Fab(similar here ), scarf- American Apparel , bag-Gifted Those of you who follow me on instagram and Facebook already may know, I had my baby! Yep, I was induced 18 days early, and this outfit was what I wore to the doctor's appointment that preceded the late night/early morning arrival of my daughter, Charlotte Ann Keller. My husband and photographer, Mr. Keller shot this pics on his phone outside the hospital of my OB/GYN's office before a routine-ish appointment. The grey tee and black pants are pretty basic, the details of argyle socks and my dandy-ish loafers, paired with this floral bomber give these basics some flair. In fact, this jacket can really amp up a variety of standard looks without being too over the top. Plus, it's a great "throw-on" piece that layers well. I wore a hoodie underneath it for the trip home from the hospital. So here...

Dot Drama

Check how the texture in this bomber matches the print in these joggers!  jacket- Le Tote , tee- Gap , pants- Mikkat Market (sort of similar here ), loafers- Just Fab , cuff-Vintage  You may recall me featuring these loafers on this post . Here they are, in their 2nd outfit and I'm loving how they add a "dapper dan" element to this casual, semi-punk look. With the studded cuff and bomber jacket this definitely has some androgynous edge. The polka-dot pants are pure fun and functional, and overall this is a graphic weekend ensemble.  What I love about this look is that it's not at all maternity. The t-shirt and joggers are items I've had for awhile and they still fit (!!!), plus this is the type of outfit that speaks to my personal style, and would be something I'd wear when not pregnant. So yeah, go me!
