Fifty Shades of White

I'm sorry with this post title I couldn't help myself... But in truth white, cream, ivory, beige--all neutrals across the board are emerging as a new and fresh spring trend this year.  Or, in other words it's the latest take on minimalism, which never really stops being stylish, but goes through iterations year after year.  In other, other words "Keep Calm and Neutral On" Christophe Lemaire   This looks has a military-esque style going on (another big trend this season) with it's bomber-like jack and overall sense of utility.  Dior  Here's a boho take on this year's minimalism, with a loose silhouette and embroidery for a light and airy feel--very spring indeed!  The Row Exaggerated shapes from the Olsen Twins' label with some sex appeal in the plunging neckline.  Zero + Maria Cornejo   This version of minimalism takes and architectural bent with angled hems for separates.  Celine Here we hav...

Spring Trend 2015 Fringe

But don't feel like this tr...

(Check out my dress-over-pants attempts here and here .) One collection that really caught my eye was Celine .  A few seasons back Celine brought severe minimalism back on the scene and since then head designer Phoebe Philo has been tweaking that concept introducing new silhouettes and shapes.  Here are some of my favorite looks from the Fall 2012 showing:   For me this is all about shape and finding a balance between a slouching pant and a sleek top.     How badass is this?! Love the styling with the little Mod boots.   This makes me think I need to get a pair of crisp wool pink trousers. Also, I dig the pairing of wool with leather.     An orange/red cropped pant, you know I love it !  ...
