Outerwear Alternatives

coat-Gap(similarish here ), blouse-Anthroplogie(similar here ), dress-Max Studio(similar here ), necklace-Gifted(similar here from Macy's), scarf- American Apparel , boots- Sam Edelman via Norsdstrom , cuff-Vintage Looks like the bout of warm weather is adios and we're back to freezing temps and snowy mornings. Fortunately, I was able to don some lighter-weight outerwear earlier this week, hence this over-sized blazer-jacket hybrid from Gap. I paired it with a grid-print knit jumper layered over a long-sleeve, pop-of-color blouse for a mostly black and white OOTD. Also noteworthy in this look are these waterproof boots! You may recall they were on my 2018 #musthaves list from this post . I ordered several pairs, and found these Chelsea Boots to be the best fit.

One Great Coat

coat-H&M(similar here ), dress- Max Studio via Le Tote , shirt-Zara(similar here ), boots- Asos , ring/necklace- Le Tote   Yes, this coat again . But, it's perfect for this time of year, no?. True, plaid is more of a fall print, but the length, weight, and chic factor of this coat also work for spring. Plus, I think I've proven that I know how to rock plaids anytime of year( here , here , and here ).  Also, this knit sheath dress was so much fun to layer and of course pockets!

Uniqlo to the Rescue

I'm loving how this tiered necklace is tangled. You still see each pendant but the "mess" of the chains is a nice nod to the chaos of my formally ordered life. Outfitting reflecting life my friends!  blazer/ pants - Uniqlo (similar blazer here ), top- Max Studio via Le Tote , necklace-Jewel Mint(similarish from Zara here ), watch-Michael Kors(similar here ), loafers- Dr. Scholls This is such a clutch springtime office outfit! And thanks to Uniqlo's ankle-length pants (of which I now have 4 pairs) I have trousers for work to see me through the summer! I can't say enough good things about these pull-on pants, that have made my postpartum-back-to-work outfitting a heck of a lot less complicated than having to fit into my pre-pregnancy button-and-fly pants.  But, enough about pants, this striped, knit blazer is also a spring/summer office staple. It's fresh with the navy and white color combo, easy to wear, y...

Little Boy Blue

romper- Max Studio via Le Tote , necklace-J. Crew Factory(similarish here ), clutch- Banana Republic , loafers-Target(similarish here ), ring- Jewel Mint I've had a love/hate relationship with rompers trying to find the right one that best suits me over the past few years. This number comes pretty close and I really like the print. I kept the blue theme going with the clutch and loafers. I can also see this piece working with super-high heels and a blazer for a classy night on the town. We're headed to Butcher and the Rye next Friday so maybe I'll give that outfitting idea a go!
