#TurtleneckTuesday

jacket- Nordstrom , turtleneck-Gap(similar here ), pants-J.Crew(similar here ), sneakers-H&M(more options here ), pin- Wildfang , bracelet- Aid Through Trade , ring- Skelton Jewelry There's so much to love about these shots. Of course another leather jacket OOTD here for fall, and the glorious autumn afternoon sunshine, paying tribute to RBG , and of course TRAINS! Two trains went by in the time it took to get these shots.  We also had to dodge a few cars since I'm in the middle of the street. As for the outfit, I'm keeping the turtleneck action  going with a standard black turtleneck, grey trousers, and sporty sneakers.  The jacket, shoes, and pin really elevate this sweater and pants into an unexpectedly edgy look.

A Matching "Set"

cardigan-Anthropologie(more options here ), dress-DVF(more "Wear to Work" options here ), Mary Janes-Nine West(similar here ), necklace-Banana Republic(similar here ) The off-white, black, and yellow pattern on this DVF shift is a seamless match-up to this cozy cardi from Anthropologie. However, a question that begs to be asked, is this too matchy-matchy? OR, a chic matching-set alternative? I can see it both ways, but lean toward the latter because this cardi is such a great piece and in essence a neutral topper to a graphic frock.  What say you? Too "on the nose" or great styling? Also, yes that IS a moving training in the background for the first few shots.

A Chic Summer Trouser

sweater-Uniqlo(more sweaters here ), top-J.Crew(similar here ), trousers-Zara(similarish here ), necklace- chloe + isabel , cuff-Vintage, ring-Jewel Mint(available from Poshmark here ), wedges-Sole Society(similar here ) I styled these ecru trousers VERY similarly in this post last month. That look was more casual. in this OOTD I've amped up the elegance with heels, a silk top, and crystal necklace. Which goes to show, how surprisingly versatile, for summer outfitting, these trousers are. I say trousers, as opposed to pants because there's a lot of subtle detail to be find in this pair. They are cropped, oversized, tapered, high-waisted, AND pleated! But, even through they are high maintenance being white and dry-clean only, I really do feel they are worth it for the high-summer chic factor alone. Don't you? And yes, that IS a train passing in the background for some of these shots. 🚆
