Fashion Week Part 1

So NY fashion week has kicked off and even after just one day of shows I'm already getting some great ideas on making outfits.  First up from TSE These two looks feature long narrow skirts worn under fuller skirts.  The idea of layering skirts intrigues me and has me thinking about wearing long slips under shorter sheer dresses this coming summer. Here I like the idea of mixing a comfort item, like a nubby scarf, with a chic evening dress, which is a concept you can work in many ways, i.e. a plaid flannel with a party dress or a faded t-shirt with a suit. Next Up Jenni Kayne I love so many looks from this collection. There was a modern English countryside vibe all over the place.  And who knows, maybe for Fall I'll try to find a big fur hat to rock.
