Last year around this time my best friend, Jenni and I started a two woman book club. Since we don't live in the same town anymore we thought this would be a great "activity" to share. We each take turns picking the books and then discuss them during a phone date. I have to say we've had quite an eclectic selection! The Interestings by Meg Wolizter Jenni picked this one and because it tells the story of a close-knit group of friends and how those friendships evolved over time it really struck a cord for us. We've been friends since HS, going on 18 years(!!!!). In terms of the plot, we really enjoyed how it flashed back and forward and around, that structure kept things interested and created moments of surprise. But, we felt the ending was kind of "meh".
