Outfits Not Just Clothes

So yeah, this has been percolating over two seasons. I enjoy the preppy blazer with the more edgy skinny jeans and wedge heels. It's a fun contrast, but the colors are all working together. Overall a perfect fall-weekend-casual outfit. And here's the original inspiration image:

This pic inspired my outfit for yesterday:  from Atlantic-Pacific I basically broke it down to a striped, long-sleeve shirt with plaid pants and red shoes.  I added a blazer, scarf, and hat you know because I'm about that trio for fall.  A blurry close-up of the scarf and hat, loving the feather detail, right!?  Stripes, pinstripes, and plaid oh my! shirt- J.Crew , blazer-J.Crew via Threadflip (similar here ), pants- Uniqlo , heels-DSW(similar here ), watch- Nixon via Urban Outfitters , hat-Urban Outfitters(similar here ), ring- Jewel Mint ,  scarf-Gifted  I think this combo of stripes and plaid and can also be worn in a more low-key look. I'm thinking sneakers and a denim jacket for the weekend, or reverse it with a striped skirt and flannel shirt...
