Easter Dresses for Baby Girl

In Monday's post I put potential Easter Dresses to a vote. There's still time to make your choice so please let me know your favorite in the comments, here ! Today, I'm wondering what type of dress/style to get for my 2-year-old daughter... Here's what I've been considering. Let me know which is your favorite in the comments below! A. Gingham Dress from Gap Hello gingham! Not, the most obvious choice for Easter, but will be very on trend in general for this spring and summer. B. Ruffle Dress from Old Navy I really love the subtle ruffle detail here, but feel that maybe the heart pattern is a bit too Valentine's Day and not very spring. C. Swing Dress from Old Navy Here we have florals with a darker background, that will hopefully hold up to my little monster's messes more so than a lighter color.  D. Ruffles Dress from Target A full-on pastel ruffle bonanza in this pretty little frock. My concern is that it may...

Vote for Easter Dresses

We are approximately 4 weeks out from Easter and I've started thinking about my traditional Easter Dress options.  You may recall some of my past Easter-time looks here and here . I tend to go for simple, yet striking patterns in unexpected colors. This year, being full-on pregs I'm all for functional options, that aren't necessarily maternity-wear. I'm not 100% sure on what direction I want to take, so I'm putting up these picks for a a vote!  A. Anne Klein Midi from Macy's This fun frock also has pockets AND a drawstring to customize the silhouette, which is ideal for my bump action.  B. Faux Wrap Dress from Wren & Ivory Wren & Ivory offers bump-friend and post-pregnancy garments that are functional with a romantic twist. I like the muted tones of this dress, which are nicely balanced by the floral pattern on the bodice.  C. Feeling Serene Maxi from ModCloth I'm not quite sure how well this maxi will fit my expa...

Printed Work Shirt Vote

I'm a big fan of both standard and novelty printed button-downs, especially to liven up everyday work wear, as seen here , here , and here .  And what better time to add to my roster of patterned shirts the now, to take advantage of those "Back to School" sales.  But, I'm having trouble deciding and need your help. Here are some of my top picks!  A. This Batik-esque is more of a summer-time print, but navy n' white are a season-less color-combo that works all year round! AND, it's on sale over at Wildfang ! B. Also from Wildfang this animal-printed beauty, which I think would totally rock with darker suit for fall & winter.   C. A third Wildfang option featuring sailboats, because sailboats! D. From Landsend , this shirt is no longer available in this print, but there are additional options to choose from. I like that this is a tunic and can be worn both for work and on the weekends.   E. From ModClo...

A Dress Question

I recently ordered this shirtdress from ModCloth : Broadcast Coordinator Shirtdress thinking it would be a perfect work dress for this coming fall and winter. It's professional without being stuffy, has some texture with the clip dotted material, provides the kind of coverage I prefer, AND pockets! Alas, when it arrive the bust was WAY too tight, I could get it buttoned, but it was bordering on absence. Yes, I could have gone up a size, but maybe it's my vanity, or the fact that from my perspective my body is still in transition from having my baby... but I just didn't want to go up. So I returned it.  Looking back over my past ModCloth orders I've returned more things than I've kept over the past two years... and I'm starting to realize I've aged-out of ModCloth.  But all is not lost, I've started digging into eShakti and I think my work dress conundrum will soon have a solution, but I need your help! Which dress?  A. Cotton Knit R...

This Old Dress

cardi-Banana Republic(similar here ), dress- Le Tote , necklace-H&M(similarish here ), bracelet/ring-Jewel Mint(available here  & here  via Poshmark , loafers-Payless(similar here ) This dress isn't that old, only a few years, (last seen here ) but the pattern feels very 70's vintage and the oversized silhouette makes me feel like I could be wearing one of my Mom's  old maternity dresses... not the most glamorous of feelings, eh? So, I'm considering putting this on my yard sale pile. FYI: I'll be setting up shop for the annual Point Breeze Yard Sale here in September and pricing things to sell! So, what do we think of this dress... To sell, or not to sell? Let me know your vote in the comments.

Coat Vote Results!

Well the votes are in and the "winner" of last month's Coat Vote is.... Trina Turk I'm renting this baby for a night out on the town! Mr. Keller and I have tickets to see T he Head and The Heart on March 1st at the Benedum Center in Pgh's Cultural District. We're making a night of it with dinner at Social House 7 ! My outfitting strategy will be to let the coat be the star and go for an all-black ensemble underneath. BUT, I'll be far from boring with leather black leather trousers and a lacey black top. You've got to mix materials and textures for those monotone looks, or else you'll just be wearing clothes... THE SHAME!  And in other news... I'm off to this year's  AWP conference in Washington DC!!! Long time readers may recall this post waaaaayyyy back in 2012 when I fantasy-outfitted for the annual literary/writers brouhaha.  Now that I'm going in real life I'll outfitting as I do best, preppy, schoolboy chic w...
