Fun Shorts Friday -- Matching Set

shirt & shorts-Wildfang(similarish here and here ), shoes- Native Shoes Another edition of #funshortsfriday with this matching set from Wildfang  who currently has a dearth of short options on sale unfortunately.  Long time listeners may recall this matching set from previous summers featured here and here .  For these windswept shots I simply half-tucked the top and slipped on my go-to summer shoes for an easy and breezy summer look.

Happy 4th From a Red Tank Top

shirt/short-Wildfang(similar here and here ), tank-J.Crew(similar here ), necklaces-H&M(similar here ), sneakers-Zara(similar here ) I last featured this matching shirt and short two summers ago(!!!) in this post . I've loosen things up, literally, by unbuttoning and un-tucking the shirt, and sporting some patriotic color with this red tank. This isn't an obvious "4th of July" type of look, but the under-the-radar red, white, and blue of the sneakers (along with the tank) gives a subtle nod to the holiday, while the overall laidback vibe of this OOTD is ready for some hotdogs, hamburgers, beer, and fireworks!  Happy 4th!!! 🎇🎆

Keeping it Comfortable

cardigan-Zara(similar here ), shirt-Wild Fang(similar here ), leggings- Amazon , boots- G.H. Bass , hat- Target , necklace-Gifted I'm feeling a bit rusty here with OOTD posts, but let's hop back on the horse shall we? 😀 Started with this oversized button-down (last seen here ) and paired it with these fleece-lined leggings, "coatigan", and cowboy-esque boots for a comfy midweek work outfit.  Now a bit of "mom" advice, while yes, we're having a brief thaw, it's still Winter so keep those coats and hats on! And wear socks!

Fancy Pants

tunic-Wild Fang(similar here ), vest/pants-Mango(similar here and here ), loafers- G.H. Bass , necklace-J.Crew Factory(similar here ) I've always had a soft spot for "fancy pants" as seen here , here , and here . This brocade pair is the latest addition to my collection. I was going for a long n' lean silhouette with the button-down tunic and oversize sweater vest, which are semi-casual and offered a nice contrast to the fancy bottoms. Wearing the vibrant necklace OVER the shirt works as a fem take on a bow tie, don't you agree? Again, it's about striking a balance between formal/casual, cropped/long, comfortable/fitted, and feminine/androgynous.
