The Gingham of it All

top / ring - Le Tote , culottes-Mango(similar here ), belt- Amazon Fashion , necklace- Benevolence Los Angeles , sunnies- DIFF Eyewear , heels-Liz Claiborne(more options here ) If I wasn't stuck working from home I would totally rock this ensemble as summertime work wear. Just breeze into my office and swing around my red bob, probably add a crisp white blazer to serve up the professional woman realness of it all! But alas I wore this on the drive to pick up my kids from their grandparents' house... I DID flaunt this gingham top on a Zoom meeting, but didn't style a whole look.  Just the top, and jewelry with my standard WFH sweats.

Fun Shorts Friday Tropical Edition

T-shirt-Gap(similar here ), shorts-Forever 21 Men(similar here ), shoes- Native Shoes , bracelet- Aid Through Trade Posted this to Instagram last Friday, but didn't get around to getting up on the blog until THIS Friday, but the concept is still the same. Embrace the end of the workweek and the laid back vibes of summer in short form. For this week I went with a tropical theme in these drawstring men's shorts from Forever21 . Yep these are boy shorts! Too often, from my experience, women's patterned shorts can be quite short and ride up in uncomfortable and unflattering ways. Of course, every body is different and you have to consider what works for you. These shorts are definitely working for me!  You can look at p...

No Snooze Button on Style

vest-thrifted(similar here from Mango ), shirtdress / jeans -Gap, loafers-Liz Claiborne(similar here ) This button-down is actually a sleep shirt, and I purposefully got it in a large for an oversized slouchey feel. Wearing a baggy nightgown may not sound like the most dynamic or chic outfitting strategy, however I swear I'm not falling asleep at the style wheel, but instead playing with the proportions created by this collared vest, which one could argue is more of a sleeveless blazer, and skinny rolled white jeans. Overall, this feels quite modern, no? I also love the transitional feel of this OOTD as we begin to see signs of Autumn on the horizon. I think a crisp white jean and a tailored third piece is an easy way to wear warm-weather shirts, lounge pieces, and even dresses into fall. What say you?
