Jumpsuit into Summer

Summer is here and it's full steam ahead with trips, cookouts, camps, fireworks, and outfits! I wore this floral jumpsuit for both a casual weekend outing and a day working in-office to bring a bit of flowerful flair to the standard 9-to-5 of it all. jumpsuit-Boden(more options here ), sunnies- Diff Eyewear , necklace-J.Crew(similar here via Poshmark ), bag-ModCloth(similar here ), flats- All Birds I realize I also jumpsuited into spring in this recent post . What's not recent are all of these pieces. The "newest" item of this outfit are the flats, which were a pandemic 2020 purchase and worn in this post . The necklace I found proof of from a 2014 post (!!!) during the big statement necklace craze of the 20 teens era. The bag I had in the days when I freelanced with ModCloth before my kids were born, so yeah lots of classic pieces. The jumpsuit I've had in my closet for a few years and just recently started wearing it out and about.  So, yeah, jump into summer ...

April Showers Bring May Flower Overalls

On this last day of April I wanted to share this ready-for-the-rain outfit! Wore this on what we starting calling a "Cutey Day" when you go to cute shops, drink cute coffee, buy cute things, have a cute look. We explored one of our favorite neighbors, Lawrenceville and shopped small.  rain jacket--Asos(similar here ), overalls- Cider , shirt-Gap(similar here ), sunnies- Diff Eyewear , earrings-- Amazon , necklace-- Boheme Vendor , boots-Nordstrom(similar here ) I usually wear these overalls in the fall, as seen in this post here . But they are actually kind of ideal for spring, no? Went with a basic top, pop-of-color boots, and black floral jewelry. The polka dot rain coat, was of necessity, but I think it actually works for a fun bit of pattern mixing/contrast.  Check out the shop small/shop local haul over on Instagram here .

Cowboy Boots & Floral Skirts

Western wear has seen a resurgence here with the Cowboy Carter of it all, among other influences. I'm not one for cowgirl cosplay, but I do enjoy a good boot. Here I've styled by western boots with a mixed print autumnal outfit.  Blazer-- Luciano Barbera via Threadflip(now defunct), henley-Gap(similar here ), shirt-Uniqlo(similar here ), skirt- Amazon , boots-Coconuts via DSW(similar here ), necklace/bracelet- Slide Jewelry , ring/necklace-Ana Luisa(similar here and here ) I last featured these boots in a spring/summer look here . And I styled them with this same skirt back in April here . While this top is part of a "matching set" featured here  I'm doing the classic styling hack of "breaking it up" and the olive green coordinates with the skirt. You can watch my reel of the cinching drawstring features of this shirt here .  Again I'm wearing the promotional Slide Jewelry set. Here's a referral link to also become an ambassador for discounts ...

Outfitting with Art

Here in Pittsburgh we are very lucky to have the Andy Warhol Museum as part of the Carnegie Museum system. And I'm very lucky to be able to have a membership in that museum group for me and my family. The other week, my husband and I had a day-date to check out a special exhibit at the Warhol on Pgh's North Shore. I, of course had to outfit in a Warholian theme.  blazer/skirt-J.Crew(similar here and here ), tee-Kansas City Kitty(more tees here ), necklace / bracelet / ring -Ana Luisa, tote-???, sneakers-Zara(more options here ) Posed in front of "Cows" across the street from the museum where they've expanded into an outdoor public space. From the colors, to the graphic floral pattern, the heart graphic tee, and the watermelon tote, this outfit totally speaks to the venue and the aesthetic. I posed in front of Flowers and Camo painting inside posted on my Instagram .  We checked out this current exhibit Good Business looking at Warhol's screenprints. It wa...
