From Comfy to Classy

blazer-Ines de le Fressange for Uniqlo(current collection here ), blouse-Urban Outfitters(similarish here ), skirt-BCBGeneration(more skirts here ), tights- J.Crew , loafers-Zara(a badass version here ), bracelet-Gifted from World Finds Last week I was all about staying comfortable with leggings and a knit hat in this post, here . For today's OOTD I'm bringing classy-chic-realness in mixed prints and velvet. All of these pieces have done the rounds in various other outfits, but this is the first pairing of this blouse and skirt, which is surprising because each print speaks so well to the other. I only happened to notice it when these two garment ended up near to each other in a closet reshuffle. Just goes to show you, it helps to revise your wardrobe organization every so often.

Dress & Cardi Combo

cardi- J.Crew Factory , dress-Madewell(similarish here ), belt-Urban Outfitters(more belts here ), necklace-Banana Republic(similar here ), heels-Sole Society(similarish here ) This sleeveless "tweedy" dress is a great transitional piece for summer-to-fall outfitting. You may recall I featured it around the same time last year in this post . As I wrote then, " The texture and color are very fall-appro, but the silhouette made the 70-degree days bearable. " Make that 80-degree days this time around, and pairing it with my "librarian-chic" cardi made for a great outfitting combo. I glam-ed it up with the necklace and heels, going with gold for a bit of metallic pop, the belt is a work-a-day piece to play up the dress's silhouette.

Mommy & Me with Pineapples Again

My daughter and I were #twinning with pineapples in this post , we tried to do so again here this past weekend.  The "good" shots: Now for the not-so-good pics: Now for some straight-up blooper-pics that prove kids make the worst accessories, real parenting is work!  My face says it all on that last one right? It's not easy wrangling a 20-month old when you want to show off how cute you are in coordinated Mommy & Me outfits. Here's just my part of this pineapple #twinning  T-shirt/toddler dress-Old Navy(more pineapple apparel here ), skirt-Gap(similar here ), flats-Urban Outfitters(similar here ) Both this tee and skirt are on the large size, actually they are too large, I'm really swimming in these garments. The tee was on loan from my mom, who also two pineapple shirts, so technically we were #tripleting.... that's a thing, right? 😉 I tied up the corner of the T-shirt to crea...

Lazy Days of Sunhats

top- Cupcakes and Cashmere via Le Tote , culottes-Mango(more options here ), loafers-Zara(similar here ), sunhat-Target(similar here ), necklace-Urban Outfitters(more options here ) Yes, we're in the laid-back days of summer, but this outfit is WERQING all the style angles! Spelled out, this ensemble may sound like a bit "too much"... A collared, crochet overlay top with window-pane culottes, menswear-inspired penny loafers, pewter disc statement necklace, and a striped straw sunhat. A lot, right? But, the black and white color palette keeps all of these standout pieces from appearing too over-the-top when worn together. Plus, how can you not love sunhats!
