Same Pants Different Day

These pants are a repeat from this post . I think they are just so perfect for winter! shirt /belt/scarf-Gap(more belts here  similar scarf here ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), necklace / ring -Mejuri, bag-J.Jill(similar here ), socks-Target(more options here ), boots- Columbia Sportswear I went with a rugged-chic style for this OOTD, pairing these high-waisted tweedy culottes with a bright red henley, plaid scarf, stripey wool socks, and hiking boots. I'm wearing this scarf almost like a shawl/poncho and using this crossbody bag to create alternative silhouettes. As stated above, these pants are quite versatile. From Tuesday's sporty  post  to a layered look from a dress-over-pants post  a few years back, these navy trousers suit a wide arrange of outfits and are quite warm to boot!

Turtleneck Tuesday

coat-H&M(more options here ), turtleneck / shirt -Gap, shorts- Anthropologie (similar here from Express), necklace- Benevolence LA (similar here on Amazon), boots -Steve Madden via Nordstrom Another #turtlenecktuesday for you here before we head into a holiday weekend. This OOTD is all about layers?  First a base of a turtleneck and tights, then a mid layer of tweedy shorts and a chambray shirt. Then topping it off with this plaid coat, boots, and necklace. I love necklaces worn over turtlenecks, it's the perfect backdrop to highlight a statement piece, or make a fairly simple chain feel more special. Read more of my outfits ideas for turtlenecks over at Webb Weekly .

Teal in Autumn

top- DVF via Poshmark (similar here and here ), pants-J.Crew(similar here ), rings- Mejuri , loafers-Sole Society(similar here ) When it comes to fall colors, you wouldn't normally consider teal among them. However, in late September with the first hints of crisp weather I like to mix in some cooler shades with some of my fall favorites.  Plus, when else can you wear a tweed trouser and kiltie loafer if not for fall! As things start to cool down I see this mock-turtle top serving as a dynamic layering piece, both over long-sleeved tees, and as a pop of color and pattern under jackets and blazers.  Speaking of color, how gorgeous is the sky in these shots. We discovered this "look out" location a few months, which you may recall in this post , and I can't wait to capture some amazing fall foliage in upcoming OOTD posts over the next two months.

An 80's Kind of Day

blazer-Gap(more options here ), shirt--Banana Republic(similar here ) belt-Vintage, pants-Zara(similar here ), necklace -Le Tote, boots -Sam Edelman via Nordstrom Another pre-social distancing OOTD, this time with quasi-80's power bitch vibes. Not my normal aesthetic but this oversized tweed blazer and (faux) leather pants are definitely in my style wheelhouse. Both the jacket and trousers have a menswear tone, so this striped, puffy-shoulder top adds a balancing feminine/whimsical element. This vintage braided belt was a bit of an after thought but I love how it literally pulls this look together.  It's been an interesting few weeks, and while I had hoped to get back to regular posting here this spring it doesn't seem to be in the cards. I may try some #workingfromhome outfits, we shall see.  Stay safe, healthy, and sane. 💓💓
