Back on the Tiger

sweater-Asos(similar here ), skirt-Ann Taylor(similar here ), shirt-Uniqlo(more options here ), necklace-Anthropologie(similarish here ), mary janes-Nine West(similar here ) Wrapping up this workweek with a Tiger!!! 🐯ROAR! You may recall this sweater from some of these old posts, here , here , and here . Back then I was playing off the graphic animal sweatshirt vibe from Givenchy . Now, I'm channeling the whimsical prints of Gucci . Which goes to show, that there are certain statement pieces (like a tiger face sweater) that you should definitely keep in your closet, because who knows when they'll be relevant again!

Super Heroes & Super Villians!!!

In this post , I highlighted the bodysuit I got from American Apparel for my super hero costume. Well this past Saturday Mr. Keller and I participated in a murder mystery dinner party as the Frozen Whip and Mr. Astounding! We were super heroes of course. My character was the "diva" of the group, so I tried to go a bit glam. Here's my costume in its full glory!!! Thank goodness I wasn't the only one that went all out.  This was the mystery's author, and fellow super hero The Scarlet Reaper. You may recall my friend Sam from this post .  Interested in hosting your own murder mystery and want an original script/concept? Check out Sam's Red Murder Mysteries here ! blazer-Zara(somewhat similar here ), bodysuit /l eggings -American Apparel, necklace-Ann Taylor(more necklaces here ), boots-DSW(sort of similar here ) This is pretty over the top, and bordering on busted-up drag queen, but we had a good time and at least I didn't opt...

Necklaces!

Statement necklaces are pretty much my go-to accessory for finishing off a look/taking clothes and cranking up the style factor into an outfit. Here are a few of my favorite necklace shots: Ann Taylor Anthropologie Bauble Bar Cookie Lee Cookie Lee again Forever 21 Duro Olowu for JCPenny Jewel Mint Let Tote ModCloth Bauble Bar again Gifted And I think I like to highlight them on the blog so closely is because it's the type of shot I don't have to worry about the face I'm making. :) What's your favorite accessory?

White Pants One More Time

shirt- Jcrew Factory , sweatshirt- Gap , pants-Forever 21(sort of similar here ), shoes-Zara(similar here ), necklace-Ann Taylor(similar here )     Labor Day weekend is here and I've busted out my white pants one last time. Well not really, that no-white-after-Labor-Day rule no longer applies. BUT, white pants for me, signify summer and I rarely wear them during fall/winter. Now, white jeans, I do enjoy rocking those in the colder months.   This necklace is major, and I usually wear it with a simple black or grey dress. I figured the sweatshirt layered over shirt was a clean enough "canvas" for the necklace to pop!   Have a great last weekend of summer!

Harness Outfit

blouse -Le Tote , skirt- Ann Taylor (thrifted), harness- Zana Bayne , boots-DSW(similar here ), jewelry- Jewel Mint  & Cookie Lee You may recall my long awaited harness's arrival here . Since then it hasn't made a lot of appearances. It's not the easiest accessory to pull off.  In this look it works because of the neutral palette of black and gold (go Steelers!) as well as the silhouette. The higher-waisted skirt fits with the shape the harness creates.  And I think it also keeps the blouse in check from being too full, which can make me look bigger on top than I actually am. Also, it's totally badass! No one wanted to mess with me at work on this day that is fo' sho'.    Sidenote: I'm so sick of wearing boots! Yesterday was on the warmer side here in Pittsburgh, but today it's snowing.  My open-toed heels and sandals are starting to get suicidal from lack of wear.  Come on spring!
