First Day of Spring My A**

Still rocking studded gloves.   blazer-Jcrew(similar here ), dress - Duro Olowu for JC Penny , gloves-Brian Atwood for Neiman Marcus(more gloves here ), necklace-Forever 21(sort of similar here ), heels-Nine West(similar here )  I am extremely ready for consistent warmer weather. Yesterday was so windy and it's been so flipping cold in the morning it's hard to find the energy to get out of bed and put on outfits. Let's not even talk about this past Monday with the ice and sleet, let's just stay function won out over fashion.  Anyway, you may recall the necklaces I picked up from JC Penny's collab with Duro Olowu here and here . I also snagged this dress that is a great throw on piece.  As winter winds down I paired it with this thick wool blazer and hope in the coming months to wear it as a stand alone piece with its mixed patterns.  I love a good mixing of patterns, it is a bit of solace in this never ending winter....

Tiger in the Snow

blazer- Jcrew (thrifted), sweater/jeans-Asos(similar here and here ), shirt- Ralph Lauren , gloves-Brian Atwood for Target + Neiman Marcus(more gloves here ), boots-Target(similar here ), necklace-Anthropologie(more necklaces here ), bag-vintage, hat-Mikkat Market(similar here ) Sunday in the snow and a fedora. I thought I'd take my sweater tiger out for a walk. You may recall my fedora from last year here. Again a pretty straight forward outfit--jeans, sweater, blazer, but the accessories--fedora, gloves, bag really make it stand out.

Versace on the Top, Tartan on the Bottom

Okay it's cold... I'm taking this coat off really quick to show you blouse details. You're welcome. The belt provides a solid band of black to break up the patterns and it cinches in the waist, which is always a good idea. Okay... I need my coat back. coat/bag-Zara(similar here and here ), blouse- ModCloth , skirt-Urban Outfitters(sort of similar here ), belt-Gap outlet(similar here ), gloves- Brain Atwood for Target/Neiman Marcus , boots-DSW(similar here ), necklace-Banana Republic(similar here ), the cold breeze-God I've been thinking about pairing this blouse and skirt for a while now and I love how the colors play off each other, while the patterns are working such different vibes. The top is a total holler back to vintage Versace, don't you think? image via Kit Walker The skirt is a tartan/plaid dream, you may recall my fondness for plaid here . Together...

Target + Neiman Marcus Designer Extravaganza!

Sunday December 1st Target + Neiman Marcus unveiled their joint designer collaboration! Shop here: http://www.neimanmarcus.com/category.jsp?itemId=cat44320738&parentId=cat000672&masterId=cat000000&navid=footer_holiday24 .  Now some of the designers went a bit outside the box, as in designing things that aren't clothes... I'm looking at you Alice & Olivia who designed a bicycle ...?  Anyway, there are 50 items overall to choose from, some of them are kind of lame while some are pretty decent.  Here are my top two picks:   Brian Atwood Leather Studded Gloves Rag & Bone Men's Cardigan I really love this cardie and just because it comes in Men's and Boy's sizing doesn't mean a fashionable lady like myself can't work it into an outfit, am I right? I'm thinking this sweater and the gloves could have quite the mid-winter-androgynous-fierce moment with my black pencil skirt and some roughed up ankle boo...
