Red Cords For Christmas

shirt- Uniqlo (similar here via Bloomingdale's ), vest- G.H. Bass , cords-Gap(similar pair from Citizens of Humanity via Nordstrom ), boots-L.L. Bean(similar here ) Last week I extolled the benefits of a wrap-dress this holiday season. For more casual, yet still festive garb, I'm a big fan of red corduroy. Red denim also works, but I like the added texture cords bring to this look. Plus they feel more rugged, which pairs well with this outdoorsy vest and camo shirt. Of course, you always have to a deft hand when it comes to deploying camo-prints. I tend to error on the side of subtle and try to use them in layered looks so as not to overpower the overall outfit with this tricky pattern.

Holiday Outfitting has Begun!

coatigan-J.Jill(similar here ), dress-Banana Republic(similar here ), loafers- Anne Klein via DSW , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) You may recall this dress (and doorway) from back in  March 2018    when I was six months preggo with baby #2. I also wore this wrap for baby #1's baptism in  January 2016  so needless to say a classic wrap dress can see a woman through a lot of phases and body transitions.  Also needless to say, but I'm going to say it anyway, I look freakin' amazing! Which is another reason why a quality wrap dress should be in every woman's wardrobe, they are so flattering. Paired with my go-to coatigan and practical loafers, this OOTD is a vivid start to the holiday outfitting season. I'd highly recommend busting out a wrap style frock for any, and all of your holiday happenings this year. I  rocked a warp forlast year's family Christmas time , and will definitely be addi...

In Praise of Buffalo Plaid

sweater- Rag & Bone via Nordstrom (similar here ), shirt-Gap(similar here ), trousers-Loft(similar here ), loafers-Zara(similar here ), necklace-Macy's(similar here ), sunnies- Target   Buffalo Plaid is one of my all-time favorite prints. It makes for a great holiday outfit that works all winter long. I like to bust out my buffalo around Thanksgiving to get as much use out of it as I can. For this OOTD I paired a buffalo plaid button-down with polka dot trousers and a shawl-collared menswear cardigan. Argyle socks add in another pattern for good measure, and black loafers play into the androgynous vibe. I'm also loving the bit of red berry branches in the background of these pics, Christmas is coming!!!!

Matchy Match the Holiday Edition

You may recall the various #twinning posts with my daughter here , here , and here . Well this past spring I gave birth to another daughter and the idea of coordinating a baby, toddler, and mommy outfits may send me over the edge (in a good way) for this upcoming holiday season. I now have coordinated ensembles for both Thanksgiving & Christmas this year. Needless to say I am SUPER pysched, getting literal chills just thinking about the pics.  First up, Thanksgiving!  Old Navy Wrap Toddler Dress Baby Dress For these three dresses I simply typed "burgundy florals" into the search at OldNavy.com and found these beauties. The great thing about the search feature at Old Navy, Gap, etc. is the results pull from across collections so you can simultaneous browse baby, toddler, women, and men to help you find coordinated pieces for the whole family.  True, florals are more of a spring/summer motif, but the burgundy base and rich colors make them appr...
