Little Black Dress

dress- Le Tote , belt-Gap(more options here ), flats- Dr. Scholls , necklaces-H&M(similar here ), bracelet- Rebecca Minkoff via Le Tote Regular readers will recognize this trick of belting a drawstring dress, since I seem to have done so with just about every similar   Le Tote piece. ( here , here , and here ) Am I getting stale in my styling? OR, do I know what works for me. I'm all about sticking to what works AND trying new things. But, when is it time to give an outfitting strategy a break...? Some very deep thoughts here for this very fun and cute LBD.

Rainy Day Blouse & Grandpa Cardi

vest-J.Crew(similar here ), cardigan-Vintage, blouse- Anthropologie , pants-Saks off 5th(similar here ), boots-Payless(similar here ), necklace- Rebecca Minkoff via Le Tote , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) This blouse was part of my "back to work" outfit from this post . Rag & Bone Now, while I am intrigued by the idea of a skirt over skirt as seen at TSE , I don't think I can get on board with pants over skirt.  It veers toward clunky as opposed to warm elegance.  Jcrew also showed this past week and averaged at least three layers with many of the looks.  Layers upon layers may seem like a new idea, but Marc Jacobs did it back in 2006: I think multiple layers comes around every time people start feeling a bit uncertain, (like in election years) and the need to wrap up and feel safe, whic...
