Overcast with Polka Dots

It happens late into every summer, I inevitably start defaulting to black and white looks. It's a result of my overall fatigue with hot and humid weather and trying to outfit around/with it. Black and white is probably my factory setting proof here , here , and here . But hey, it works!  cardi-Piperlime(available  here vis Poshmark ), tank- T Shirt Wholesaler pants-Gap(another option here and here ), sunnies- Diff Eyewear , earrings- Wisteria Sky Boutique  via Etsy , necklace- Ana Luisa , ring- Skelton Jewelry , sneakers-H&M(similar here ) I've had this cardigan forever and it have worn it in a variety of outfits, here , here , here , and here . I love that while it's a fairly basic tennis-style cardigan is has a lot of versatility. I'm also loving the mix of sporty pieces with these polka-dot pants.  Location Note: we call this the lookout and it's just an ideal little spot with a view of rolling hills and the  east parkway here in Pittsburgh.  Love...

Tuxedo Jumpsuit

cardigan-Piperlime(similar here via ThredUp ), jumpsuit- TJMaxx (available here via ThredUp ), sneakers- H&M , ring- Skelton Jewelry God I love a jumpsuit! And a sidestripe, and black n' white, AND contrasting dressy pieces with a sportier fare, and it all came together in this OOTD for a recent brunch at Jasper's Backyard . What can I say, all the pieces of this look (the jumpsuit, the tennis cardi, the sneakers, and jewelry) feel seamless, yet unexpected, and graphic, while being chic if I do say so myself.  And why I wouldn't normally recommend dining out in a jumpsuit, because you know going to the bathroom can be tricky, I felt that the occasion of brunch, a rarity even before covid, deserved something extra special.

Boho Meets Sporty Meets Leather Pants & a Bralette

cardi-Piperlime(similar here and here via Poshmark ), bralette- Three Bird Nest , pants-Zara(similar here ), sneakers- H&M , sunnies- DIFF Eyewear , ring- Skelton So this is A LOT of look! We have preppy, boho, sporty, edgy, leather, lace, sneakers, fine jewelry, visible bra, and I'm living for all of it! I discovered Three Bird Nest when researching this article on the origins of boho aka bohemian style and I figure, 40 is a good age to start experimenting with bralettes. Everything evolved from there. I figured I needed a high-waisted bottom, hence these leather pants, defiitely needed some coverage, and wanting to bring in some light, but stick to the color palette I reached for this tennis cardigan (which I've also heard referred to as a varsity cardigan). Got to thinking about tennis and sport, and thought sneakers! Added some jewelry, slapped on some makeup, popped on my sunnies and voila an #OOTD was born!  Even in normal times, I'd be hard-pressed to have an...
