Falling All Over Myself

dress-Anthropologie(similar here ), vest- Thrifted , boots- Kelly & Kate via DSW (similar here ), scarf-Ralph Lauren(similar here ), belt-Gap(more options here ), necklace-ViVI(similarish here ), bracelet- Jewel Mint  Fist off, I've styled this dress very similarly here with the same scarf/necklace/belt configuration. In this iteration I've swapped the blazer for a sweater vest and switched up the boots.  Second, another non-maternity dress that's knit, flexible, and well structured. I'm pleasantly surprised how many of my pre-pregnancy garments are still going strong!  And thirdly, the overall outfit is very "fall" (hence the post title) there's layering, texture, boots, and rich colors. Fall is one of my favorite outfitting seasons, true it's still a bit on the warm side by end of day, so not the most ideal for autumn layers and fabrics. But, I have high hopes for chillier days in the next fe...

Oversized Vs. Maternity

shirt- Uniqlo , shorts- J.Crew , sneakers- Converse , necklace-ViVI(similar here ) You may recall these shorts from an earlier post this summer in this post . They still fit (!!!) thanks to the drawstring waistline and the fact that I "sized up". I've done this with most new purchases this season to accommodate my baby bump without having to go full-on maternity clothes. My rationale being that these will also be items I can wear post baby has my body recovers, fluctuates, and as I get back to my pre-pregnancy fitness routine.  I also sized-up with these t-shirt, which is so adorable from Uniqlo. This is part of their artist series and the illustration feels fresh and whimsical, without being precious.  We are currently in Bar Harbor, Maine so this week's post will be sporadic. I wore this tee and shorts combo for a day exploring the village and had my first ever Maine-style lobster roll !

Pull-On Pants

shirt- Style Mint , pants-H&M(similar here ), flats-Target(similar here ), necklace-ViVI(more options here ), bracelets/rings- Jewel Mint , bag- Longchamp These "harem" pants from H&M were kind of a impulse buy a few years ago and have become a great non-maternity option. Comfy, fun, and flattering I find myself reaching for them especially during the weekend to add some pattern to casual outfits. You'll definitely be seeing more of the "drapey" silhouettes here on the blog. The athleisure and pajama-chic trends are saving my satorial life this summer/second trimester. Plus I love the low-key mix of black, brown, and beige in this outfit AND how the "tribal" print of the pants is mirrored by the leopard-print flats.

Modern Work-Wear

blouse-BCBGeneration(similarish here ), vest-Thrifted(similarish here ), pants-J.Crew(similar here ), necklace- Martin & Osa , loafers- Zara , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ), sunnise- ViVI We've been seeing a lot of these pinstripe pants here this summer, you may recall them from this post , and this post . They speak so perfectly to my aesthetic, and are super comfy that I can't help but reach for them in my current outfitting mode. Here, I've paired them with a bold colorblocked blouse and a thrifted vest, which some may argue is more like a sleeveless blazer with its collar, button, and pockets. Overall, this outfit feels very modern to my sensibilities, but not overly trendy. You may recall my modern suit post here , and I think this outfit is a solid variation on that. The overall looser silhouette and the alternative to the standard blazer all are working for a laid-back, chic, and profesh outfit.
