A Little Bloom

If you look closely (and there are close up shots below) I'm sporting a pretty little cherry blossom pin last seen here , that fit right through preexisting openings in this doily-esque collar. Putting a bit of dainty spin on this preppy, semi-tailored, totally nautical outfit.  blazer-Tory Burch(similar here ), top-Boden(similar here ), pants- Everlane , pin- Shiny Apple , loafers- Madewell I picked up this designer blazer second hand at the Fashion Fix Boutique  and I first featured this number several years ago here . It never fails to polish up a look, and while oversized blazers are more on trend, a fitted tailored traditional blazer helps provide shape and balance to these barrel leg pants.

Stripes & Leopard Print

Another post in front(ish) of a river. This time the Allegheny with PNC Park in the background. Shooting downtown always yields striking pics. This is what I wore for the Mae Martin show The Possum at the Byham Theatre last week.  cardi / earrings --Amazon, turtle shell-Gap(more turtles here ), pants- Uniqlo , sunnies- Diff Eyewear , necklace-Slide Jewels(similar here ), bracelet / ring -Ana Luisa, tote- Handsome Podcast , sneaker-Cole Haan(more options here ) These pants are part of  "matching set" featured here . I love the idea of olive green with graphic black and white stripes, just feels so fresh, but easy. These leopard print sneakers stand out, while also being seamlessly part of the outfit.  My tote is from the Handsome Podcast which Mae is one of the co-host, but even if we weren't attending the show, I think the bag still works no matter the destination of the look.

Stripes and Checkerboards

Here before we head out for the holiday are some pics of my go-to striped fall sweater that I got last year that subtly plays in the rugby trend of this year. Look at me being all clairvoyant.  coat/ pants -Nordstrom(similar coat  here ), sweater-Anthropologie(similar here and here ), boots-Nordstrom (similar here and here ) sunnies-Versace(more options here ), bag- DSW , pins-- Etsy seller The Hawk and The Oak , bracelet/rings- Ana Luisa A couple of things to note. First, yes, I did recently post the exact same sweater and trouser pairing here . However, as we move into colder days I really like the color combinations going on with adding the purple coat and boots.   Second, this bag was a promotional gift, but I customized it and "falled-it-up" with these adorable pins from T he Hawk and The Oak  highly recommend picking up some of their wares for stocking stuffers this season.  Third, this it not the first time this checkerboard has been featured...
