Outfits Not Just Clothes

I've posted #twinning outfits with my daughter here , here , & here . For a recent road trip I decided on coordinated, more so than matching ensembles. Here are our looks laid out: I was going for black & white with denim. I've been on a B&W kick as you can see from this post . When we made a quick rest stop we tried to get shots of baby girl and I in our coordinated ensembles: Then someone decided they were much more interested in checking out a huge yellow pipe! And when I tried to redirect her attention back to taking pics things got a bit out of hand, literally.... So we snapped a few final shots of just me. It's been a while since we had a reader vote and I need some input for what to wear to an upcoming family wedding in July. Don't worry I already have the baby's outfit ready to go. We picked up a super cute dress on clearance from Hanna Andersson that looks similar to this: Hanna Andersson This IS a bit more casual than the dress we bought, but it has the same kind of low-key, rustic-chic vibe of the actual dress.  As I said this is a family wedding in July that will be fairly traditional, and in a rural setting. So there a lot of factors and potential pitfalls to consider when outfitting planning, at least for me. I DO have a reputation to uphold.  What ARE those factors and pitfalls you may be wondering? Well, for starters it'll be in the midst of summer, so heat and humidity are a big factor. I'm looking at fabric content--something breathable that will also maintain a nice shape and provide structure for a flattering fit. I'm thinking a garmen...

My maternity leave is shortly coming to an end... :( And while I'm excited to be "returning to the world" I'm also dreading being away from my baby... So I'm consoling myself with organizing her clothes and prepping her outfits for the first week.  Day One : Pure & precious with a ducks-and-turtles one-piece with matching hoodie. Is it a mistake to dress a 3-month old baby in all white for her first day of nursery care with a bunch of other slobbery, snotty babies? Probably, but I want her to make a good first impression.  Second Day : Separates! This is one of her more "frou frou" looks with the hearts and purple.
