Cardigan Fardigan

We are in the midst of a freezing January day after some major snowfall and school closures.  But LAST week was much more mild and sunshiney and we got some outfit pics featuring my new favorite cardigan!  cardigan- Nordstrom Rack , shirt-Woolrich(similar here ), pants / necklace -J.Crew Factory, sunnies- Diff Eyewear , boots-Nordstrom(similar here ), socks- Bombas I think it's clear from these pictures that the center-part is not doing much for me. Sorry, I'm a geriatric millennial and side-parting all the way baby! As for the outfit, this shirt and pants pairing is a great base for the cardigan and boots. The bold pink stripe is really making this sweater pop and a squared-toe and neutral hue is an unexpected shoe choice for winter.  You could swap out those pieces with other statement items, like a blazer and loafers and change up the vibe of the whole look while still being grounded.  I think for winter, you need to be strategic when outfit planning, and while ...

Same Pants Different Day

These pants are a repeat from this post . I think they are just so perfect for winter! shirt /belt/scarf-Gap(more belts here  similar scarf here ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), necklace / ring -Mejuri, bag-J.Jill(similar here ), socks-Target(more options here ), boots- Columbia Sportswear I went with a rugged-chic style for this OOTD, pairing these high-waisted tweedy culottes with a bright red henley, plaid scarf, stripey wool socks, and hiking boots. I'm wearing this scarf almost like a shawl/poncho and using this crossbody bag to create alternative silhouettes. As stated above, these pants are quite versatile. From Tuesday's sporty  post  to a layered look from a dress-over-pants post  a few years back, these navy trousers suit a wide arrange of outfits and are quite warm to boot!

Leather Pants--An Edgy Alternative

coat-H&M(more options here ), turtleneck- Le Tote , pants-Zara(similar here ), sneakers- Vans , necklace-Jewel Mint, watch-Michael Kors(similar here )  The last time I featured faux-leather trousers was back in April 2019 here , and previous to that, all the way back in January 2018(!!!) in this post .  In between those posts I had a baby and have gone through various body transitions and weight fluctuations, which is all part of having a female body that produces children, right?   So, here we are in a new year with a new season approaching and I've treated myself to a new pair of faux-leather pants! For this OOTD I paired them with a striped turtleneck, plaid overcoat, and some well-worn Vans.  Turtlenecks are on trend this season, which makes sense as they are a key garment for combating cold weather and easy to layer. This plaid coat acted as a blazer for an edgy take on workwear.  If you fi...
