Boho Office Outfit

blazer- Gap (similar here ), tunic- Duro Olowu for JCP , joggers- Philosophy via Le Tote , necklace-Anthropologie(more necklaces here ), watch- Wegner , flats- Dr. Scholls This "dress" was a long ago purchase that you may recall from this post , way back in the day! Now, after several dozens washes it's become more of a tunic, than a dress. Which is nicely playing into my current style theme of dress-over-pants ! I kept the print-mixing going with these patterned joggers and brought the whole thing into office appropriate territory with the blazer and patent-leather flats. Top it all off with a go-to statement necklace and you have an urban boho-esque office outfit! And not only did I wear this to work, I also sported it on a dinner date with Mr. Keller as we checked out Spork on Penn. Click here for my review on Yelp , it's dinner not just food!

The White Blazer Strikes Again!

blazer- J.Crew , tunic-Anthropologie(similar here ), pants- Uniqlo , loafers- ModCloth , watch- Wegner , necklace-Gifted, ring- Le Tote I love a white blazer, and while I think it can work no matter the season, spring is where the white blazer thrives! And thrive it does paired with the silver stripes of this boho-inspried tunic, and the white is echoed in the sole of this postmodern-esque loafer (which IS hard to see with the grass and all). I kept that boho feeling going with the jewelry and wore a simple black trouser to provide a solid base.   This tunic was purchased on sale and I went up a size (or two depending on how generous I feel) to achieve more of an airy effect. I did the same with the pineapple sequin top in this post , sized up to have a more slouchy silhouette. I say this, but maybe I'm also kind of not feeling more fitted clothes, as my body is still in transition after pregnancy. Let's say it's a 80/20 split with the majority...

Pineapples!

shirt- H&M , blazer-Gap(similar here ), pants/loafers-Zara(similar here and here ), sunnies-Sole Society(more options here ), necklace- Jewel Mint , watch- Wegner Granted, sequin pineapples and bright green drawstring pants are more of a night-out look, However, my nights are pretty much home bound for the foreseeable future, so I threw on an office-appro blazer and took this outfit to work! I'm all for a fun alternative to the standard office-wear of a button-down and tailored trousers. Since returning to work I've been pushing the dress code, because I enjoy it and most of my work clothes don't yet fit, as my body continues to be in transition since giving birth. I think having creativity in your work wear (for me at least) helps elevate the daily grind AND I can totally justify these pants as a time saving option when visiting the restroom. They are a quick, easy on/easy off, those extra few seconds can really add up!

Library Skirt

A "patchwork" if you will, of library scenes make up the print of this skirt!  blazer- Threadflip , tee-Gap(similar here ), skirt-J.Crew(more skirts here ), boots- Kelly & Katie via DSW (similar here ), nekclace-Martin & Osa, watch- Wegner This skirt, is WAY old, bought back in '07/'08, like here and here this is a piece that was too big pre-baby, but is finding it's way into my wardrobe as my body continues to be in transition. Not wanting to be too preppy I went with a plain old grey tee, but kept the scholarly theme of the skirt going in this blazer. And speaking of transitions, these boots are a great way to leave off the tights of winter, but not blind passersby with my glaringly pale legs. Spring is here, but that doesn't mean my gams are warm-weather ready just yet.

Touch of Blue Spring

blazer-Anthropologie(more blazeres here ), shirt/scarf- Le Tote , pants- Uniqlo , shoes- Target (fun option here ), ring-French Connection(similar here ), watch- Wegner The past few weeks my outfitting palette consisted of earthy neutrals ( here and here ), and over the course of the winter I was rocking black and white looks hardcore ( here , here , and here ). Now, with spring officially started it's time for color to come back into my outfitting life, hence these bright blue loafers. Also, this scarf from Le Tote  is seasonally appropriate with its photo-realistic print on one side and black backing on the other, a subtle contrast for this time of year.  Also, these shots show me it's time for haircut. You know, I never really can tell when my hair needs a trim until I see it here on the blog. I also need to get my hair ready for an upcoming event that has me super stoked, more on that to come...
