A Little Bloom

If you look closely (and there are close up shots below) I'm sporting a pretty little cherry blossom pin last seen here , that fit right through preexisting openings in this doily-esque collar. Putting a bit of dainty spin on this preppy, semi-tailored, totally nautical outfit.  blazer-Tory Burch(similar here ), top-Boden(similar here ), pants- Everlane , pin- Shiny Apple , loafers- Madewell I picked up this designer blazer second hand at the Fashion Fix Boutique  and I first featured this number several years ago here . It never fails to polish up a look, and while oversized blazers are more on trend, a fitted tailored traditional blazer helps provide shape and balance to these barrel leg pants.

Sunday Style

This past Sunday we took a little trip down to the Waterfront to check out the labyrinth and I took the opportunity to tryout this look. A mash-up of nautical and preppy pieces, with a bit of sportiness. Warning --there is a very weird/enlarged picture of my ear below... 👂 blazer- Tory Burch  via Fashion Fix (additional options via Poshmark ) shirt-- Altuzarra for Target (additional options via Poshmark ), pants- J.Crew , sunnies- Kate Spade via FabFitFun earrings- Tissage via Etsy , necklace- J.Crew Factory , watch-- Fossil , bracelet-- Bayou With Love Picked up this amazing designer blazer last fall at a local consignment store. This shirt (very old) is from a designer collab with Target, and these pants are the standard cropped trouser I tend to favor. I've been recently experimenting with clip-on earrings, as my piercings from childhood have long ago grown closed.  I've paired these earrings with this necklace in prior outfits, added them to this look taking ...

Fun Shorts Friday Anchors Away!

blosue-J.Crew(similar here ), shorts-Landsend (similar here ), shoes-DSW(similar here ), sunnies- DIFF Eyewear Going for a nautical version of #FunShortsFriday with these anchor shorts and braided belt . I've had this belt forever and I have no idea where I got it, but it's been quite versatile over the years. You'd think such a bold accessory would only work with a neutral look, however it actually coordinates with all kinds of outfits--colorful casual here, or with a printed dress for work, or with a blazer, jeans, and boots look OR  a bold 80's esque power b*tch .

Stripes & A Shift

blazer-Uniqlo(more options here ), dress-Gap Maternity(similarish here ), flats-Dr. Scholl's(similar here ), necklace-Jewel Mint(available here via Poshmark ) I picked up this pocketed maternity shift in the dead of winter and am so happy to FINALLY get to bust it out here for spring. For work, I paired it with a striped knit blazer for a nod to nautical style and threw in a bit of print mixing with these polka-dotted flats. We're coming down to the wire with approx 6 weeks until this baby is due to arrive. I'm starting to scrap the bottom of the outfitting barrel, but with warmer days ahead I plan on living in a lot of dresses and drawstrings. It'll almost be like a capsule wardrobe challenge, maternity addition!
