Holiday Shacket

We are two weeks from Christmas folks and are in the peak of holiday style season. In years past I've outfitted around particular themes, color stories, etc. This year I'm exploring more rustic pieces like this plaid shacket! Shacket-- Nordstrom , Turtleneck-- Uniqlo , Skirt-- Gap , Sunnies-- Kate Spade , Earrings-- Newitin via Amazon , Necklace-- Marly Schiff via FabFitFun , Watch-- Monroe , Boots- Vince Camuto via Nordstrom The minty green of this plaid gives it a holiday feel, but works just as well for autumn and into winter. I can even see this outerwear for spring. Paired with these slick knit pieces elevates the shacket for a more refined, but still outdoorsy take on festive fashion. I suspect as we get closer to Christmas I'll be amping up the holiday glam, but for now I'm happy keeping the looks on the cozy-casual side.

#Turtleneck Tuesday 2021!

I started highlighting turtleneck looks back in November with this post  with a burgundy turtleneck under a linen shift dress, topped with a blazer. I showcased a variety of outfits featuring a basic turtleneck-- here , here , and here . Well with a new year comes a new take on the turtleneck. I love all of the textures in this shot.  jacket- Nordstrom Rack , turtleneck- Scotch & Soda (available here from Poshmark ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), socks-Target(more options here ), sneakers-Zara(more options here ), ring- Skelton Jewelry Instead of the standard black turtleneck I went with a colorful striped version boasting a ruffled neckline. I first featured this vintage-esque knit back on a chilly May day here . Since then it's not seen much action, but now that we are in the blossoming of a new year and colder season I think it'll start getting a more regular rotation. For today I styled it with a midweight long jacket with a windowpane-plaid print to amp up the p...

Knit Outerwear

The C and V stand are the initials of my daughters' first names, loving how delicate this necklace is. Reminds me of how precious they are.  💓 coat/boots-Nordstrom(similar here and here ), dress-Old Navy(similar here ), belt- Amazon , sunnies- DIFF Eyewear , necklace-Gifted(similar from Etsy here ), rings- Mejuri , headband- Anthropologie Featured this jacket last month here with a printed shirt and black cropped pants. Now I've cinched it over a printed minidress worn over these badass combat boots. It's such a versatile piece of outerwear and being fleece quite cozy.  This dress is rendered in an unexpected pattern of florals sprigs. You don't usually associate flowers with fall, but the colors and use of stems evoke a sense of foliage making it the perfect dress to wear in front of this forest landscape. Also, I'm wearing a headband! I'm still holding off on a haircut, as discussed in my last post . I'm going to see how things grow out and play aroun...
