Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway  for the wedding in July.  Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless.  Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July. And here are some pics of former rentals over the last few years: Nanette Lapore Elie Tahari Elie Tahari Robert Rodriguez Halston Heritage Interesting in renting something for yourself here this summer, use this link , to get $20 off your first rental. A Rent the Runway Vote for an Upcoming Wedding

Mr. Keller and I received our first wedding invite for 2015! Of course, instead of thinking of how happy I am for the couple and grateful that they are including us in their celebration I immediately think, "I can rent dress for this sh*t and BRING IT!" You know, priorities... So here are my top choices from Rent the Runway , which now also has accessories, so I'm also considering evening bags--fun! Option 1 Lela Rose And speaking of fun, this dress looks like a good time to me! Love all the graphic colors and the shoulder coverage. From other renters' pics I think this will be flattering for my body type. And it has pockets! So I could carry this super cute clutch! Inge Christopher  Option 2 Nanette Lepore You may recall I rented this dress last summer.  original post So I know, this dress fits and flatters and it also has pockets! However, both dresses are done up in cotton, which IS a more casual material and may no...

Nanette Lapore Dress

These are actually two necklaces, both are so delicate I usually wear them together and they intertwine a bit for a really pretty effect.  I know there's a lot of purple going on with my right hand here, and I know there's the potential for a bit too much "matchiness" but, I think it looks really pretty. And this dress is all about pretty not so much being edgy or fierce, so I went a bit girly on the jewelry front for this look.  Okay these sandals aren't the most girly things and even though I was all about pretty and delicate in the jewelry I DID go a bit electric with these shoes to keep the outfit from being too coated in saccharine dress- Nanette Lapore via Rent the Runway , bag-Coach (similar here ), sandals-Urban Outfitters(similar here ), necklaces-Vintage, bracelet/ring- Cookie Lee This dress is AMAZING! It was so perfect for a summertime office event, feminie, seasonally appropriate, yet with adeq...
