Matchy Match the Holiday Edition

You may recall the various #twinning posts with my daughter here , here , and here . Well this past spring I gave birth to another daughter and the idea of coordinating a baby, toddler, and mommy outfits may send me over the edge (in a good way) for this upcoming holiday season. I now have coordinated ensembles for both Thanksgiving & Christmas this year. Needless to say I am SUPER pysched, getting literal chills just thinking about the pics.  First up, Thanksgiving!  Old Navy Wrap Toddler Dress Baby Dress For these three dresses I simply typed "burgundy florals" into the search at OldNavy.com and found these beauties. The great thing about the search feature at Old Navy, Gap, etc. is the results pull from across collections so you can simultaneous browse baby, toddler, women, and men to help you find coordinated pieces for the whole family.  True, florals are more of a spring/summer motif, but the burgundy base and rich colors make them appr...

Mommy & Me in the Same Color Family

cardi-Similar here from Banana Republic , dress-Gap(similar here ), boots-H&M(similar here ), necklace-Jewel Mint(available here from Poshmark ), toddler clothes-Carter's(similar pieces here and here ), sneakers- Tsukihoshi via Littles Shoes It's been exactly one year since the last #twinning post with my daughter, here . And while we're not necessarily as coordinated as we have been in the past, here and here . We are outfitting in the same color family of blues and purples. For my look, now that Fall has officially started I've styled this retro-esque dress, last seen here , with a cardigan and booties . For Little Miss she's getting in some last wears of this sleeveless chambray tunic and these polka-dot leggings. She's growing so fast!

April Buys

With some too-good-to-past-up-sale here as of late I've added to my springtime wardrobe with the hopes that Spring will eventual make it's way to Pittsburgh. The forecast is looking good for the rest of this week! I had two main edicts guiding me in the following purchases. 1. Non-Maternity pieces that I could wear now in my 3rd trimester. 2 Potential garments for my return to work in the fall when my body will be in "flux". First up, a few pieces from H&M Long-Sleeved Tunic Olives and military greens are always a favorite of mine for early spring and transitional seasons in general. Loving the longer length of this tunic, which can be worn with maternity leggings now, and trousers in a six months time.  Pull-On Pants Speaking of trousers, hello pull-on pants! I'm a big advocate of pull-on pants for the post-baby body. I have at least half-a-dozen pairs from Uniqlo  and wanted to see how the H&M version holds up. This dark br...

Easter Dresses for Baby Girl

In Monday's post I put potential Easter Dresses to a vote. There's still time to make your choice so please let me know your favorite in the comments, here ! Today, I'm wondering what type of dress/style to get for my 2-year-old daughter... Here's what I've been considering. Let me know which is your favorite in the comments below! A. Gingham Dress from Gap Hello gingham! Not, the most obvious choice for Easter, but will be very on trend in general for this spring and summer. B. Ruffle Dress from Old Navy I really love the subtle ruffle detail here, but feel that maybe the heart pattern is a bit too Valentine's Day and not very spring. C. Swing Dress from Old Navy Here we have florals with a darker background, that will hopefully hold up to my little monster's messes more so than a lighter color.  D. Ruffles Dress from Target A full-on pastel ruffle bonanza in this pretty little frock. My concern is that it may...

Mommy & Me Foxes

Baby's t-shirt with one large fox vs, pinstriped shirt with mini-foxes!  Mommy: vest-J.Crew(similar here ), shirt- Old Navy , joggers/thermal(similar here )- Gap , boots-Landsend(similar here ), necklace-Bauble Bar(similar here ) Baby: t-shirt / sweats / jacket -Carters, sneakers-New Balance(similar here ) It is getting more challenging to do #twining #OOTD posts with my daughter as she just wants to run, squat, jump, anything but pose for pics! This past Sunday we put on our respective fox shirts and navy sweats to explore the Frick Environmental Center As in this post , we're coordinated more so than matching, and while the foxes are the most obvious link, the navy bottoms and layered thermals also call to each other in these paired outfits!   Now it's time for kisses!

Mommy & Me Boho Twinning 1

Mommy: shirt- Gap , dress- Le Tote , loafers- G.H. Bass Baby: dress-Carter's(more dresses here ), sneakers-K.Swiss(similar here ) A boho-themed #twinning #OOTD to start the week off! My little girl and I have had a handful of posts together seen here , here , and here . I think this is my second favorite so far. We've started putting her hair in pigtails and her little face is just so freakin' cute!  As for our outfits, I kept us to a mostly blue palette with hints of pink. Our dresses, while not exact matches do nicely coordinate with their respective abstract, geometric/bohemian-esque patterns for another successful #twinning moment!
