Outfits Not Just Clothes

So the past month has been quite a challenge for everyone. And I am very blessed to still be gainfully employed and able to work from home. And like may folks who are continuing their jobs from home I've been in a number of Zoom, Teams, and Skype meetings. And by now everyone has their WFH business up top, casual on the bottom go-to looks.  Here are two of mine from earlier this month. blouse-- Le Tote , sweats-- Forever 21 Men (similar here ) This is a familiar outfit for all of us nowadays. Simply patterned shirts and comfy black sweatpants for a few "check-in" zoom calls with my co-workers.    For the "BIG" meetings with senior staff, or if I have to present official shit, I like to class it up a bit.  blouse- J.Crew , leggings-Zara(similar here ), necklace- Le Tote I even tried to zhuzh my hair a bit more on this day. cardigan / dress / necklace / ring - Le Tote , tights- J.Crew (similar here from Poppy Socks ), loafers-Nine West(similar here ) I basically opened my latest package from Le Tote and threw it all on in one look and then double-downed on the polka dots. This outfit pics were from last week when the world wasn't social distancing. Here this week my OOTDs are sweats and flannel as I work from home.  I know things like fashion and style can seem frivolous during serious times. But for me, reading fashion blogs, looking at runway pics, putting on some cute clothes and going out for a walk are a means of coping with the stress from worrying about family, finances, and health. So if it's a nice day, why not wear  some polka dots , or stripes , or a fun pair of culottes , go get some fresh, and maybe even snap a few outfit selfies.  😃

After a lovely summer bonding with my newborn and finding the new normal in our family of four, I've returned to the daily 9-to-5 grind. For my first day back on the job I went for a graphic black n' white ensemble punctured by this dark red wrap top. A new outfitting challenge I'm facing this time around is putting together work-wear that will allow me easy access to pump during the day. I'm fortunate that my place of business has a quiet and private mother's room for nursing mom's, so if need be, I can completely defrock to get a boob out.
