Galaxy Tomboy

sweatshirt-Forever 21 Men's(more options here ), shirt/ pants - Uniqlo (similar shirt here ), loafers-Zara(similar here ), cuff-Vintage Back to my more androgynous style after yesterday's boho break  with literal menswear. Yep, this amazing sweatshirt is from the men's department at Forever 21 . If you're in the market for unexpected prints and boxier cuts then browse on over to the "men" labeled pages and have a gander. I kept the androgynous vibe going with a collared shirt, trousers, and menswear-esque loafers.   PLUS, this is the perfect sweatshirt to go check out Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 , amiright?

That's So 90's!

blazer /belt-Gap(more belts here ), cardi- H&M , dress / ring - Le Tote , scarf-gifted, boots- Nine West This outfit feels so 90's-dark-romance, like my 16-year-old self would have LOVED this look! In fact I had a dress with a very similar butterfly pattern back in the 90's and this oversized, menswear-inspired blazer feels like something the "alternative" girl would have worn in a semi-serious romance movie, like Marisa Tomei in Untamed Heart , or Drew Barrymore in anything. In fact I think this blazer, may actually become my spring "jacket" as it's warm, easy to shrug on and off, and fulfilling my teenage-thrift-store- Christian-Slater fantasies!  But for serious, it's amazing how a belted dress, boots, jacket, and scarf can evoke such nostalgia and emotion on my part. When I was wearing this outfit, and looking at...

My Swell Look

blazer-DVF(similarish here ), dress-- BB Dakota via Le Tote , leggings- Zara , wedges/belt-Gap(similarish here  and here ), jewelry- Jewel Mint , watch- Nixon via Urban Outfitters This outfit reminds me of Christina Applegate's character Swell from " Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead " a film that was an adolescent fave, and a fashion inspiration during my younger and more formative years. The oversized blazers, the mix of "adult" clothing with a teen badass sense of style, it's really a must-see for any burgeoning outfitter. This outfit picks up on the current trend of a belt over a blazer, which not only creates a slimming effect, it also anchors the outfit. Without the belt this dress/blazer/leggings look comes off shapeless and a bit haphazard.  And granted, leggings can swat toward juvenile, but here they act as an alternative to tights, now that we are in spring, but not quite ready for bare legs, at lea...

Movie Night!

Mr. Keller and I had a movie date last night. We went to check out Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues   it was funny enough and (spoiler alert) the sex panther makes an appearance which was awesome since I wore my sex panther tee shirt. "60% of the time it work EVERY time" and I'll take those odds any day!
