Red Shoe Season

These red flats are the cherry on top (or is it bottom?) for this outfit. Red is trending this season and while it may seem outdated, I still do love a "pop of color" shoe to polish up a look.  What say you? Too gimmicky or right on point?  cardi-Gap(similar here ), top/pants-Boden(similar here and here ), flats- Chinese Laundry via Nordstrom With fall officially here and the brisk temperatures sweater weather has arrived! And what better sweater than a cardigan?! I wore this in a  post  from last month, and it's still a great transitional piece, especially paired with these linen trousers last seen  here .  What's your favorite sweater weather outfit? What's your favorite red piece for fall?

One Last Hooray for Shorts

Now that school has started and the smells and feels of fall are on the horizon, I figured I give some pairs of shorts a final wear before storing away my summer gear. This pair of patterned shorts has made a few appearances on the blog back in 2020 and 2021 . For this outfit I've worn them in a transitional look styled with this roomy cardigan.  cardi-Gap(similar here ), shorts- Uniqlo , tank- T-Shirt Wholesaler , sunnies- Kate Spade , necklace- Ana Luisa , earrings- Wisteria Sky Boutique via Etsy(similar here ), tote- Handsome Podcast , sandals- Marc Fisher  Unfortunately the tote is no longer available, but there is still some fun merch from this podcast. Also, this cardi, is made from a sweatshirt-like material rather than a knit, which works great as a transitional piece and feels more durable. Posting this here on Friday the 13th has my last summer look. I'm going to kick-off my autumnal/spooky season in upcoming posts. Thanks for reading.

Trending: Leopard Print

For this spring I've seen numerous articles and lists signaling that leopard print is trending again. As I'm sure you know, so much of fashion is cyclical and styles like animal prints, high-waisted pants, sheer dresses, etc. come in and out of fashion. For this go-round of animal prints I've been seeing a lot of va-va-va-voom styling, here's my more modest approach.  trench-Asos(more options here ), cardigan-Banana Republic(more options here ), shirt- J.Crew ,(more options here , here , and here via Poshmark ) pants- Everlane , loafers-Anne Klein(similar here ), sunnies- Diff Eyewear , earrings- Amazon , bracelet- Bayou With Love , rings- Nordstrom & Mejuri(more options here ) I've had this printed button-down from J.Crew for almost a decade and I've worn it under a sweater with matching cropped trousers as seen in this post . Under another matching sweater and trouser set in this post . With trouser shorts and a blazer from this post . And in countless ...

Dress & Sweater Combo 2

We are a little over a week away from the official start of fall and I am itching to bust out chunky knits, flannels, boots, and denim.  But before we settle in for autumn, here's another take on this summer dress, last seen in this post , paired with a different type of sweater.  dress-Universal Standard(more options here ), cardi- Banana Republic Factory , sunnies- Kate Spade , necklaces-Mejuri(more options here ), belt-Gap(more options here ), bag-Shiraleah(similar here ), shoes-Born(similar here ),  In this version we have the same dress, but dressed up a bit with a sleek cardigan, belt, bag, and sandals. I can definitely see this dress transition into fall/winter with a turtleneck and boots. Which is your favorite, above belted and beige or here tone-on-tone?
