Peplum & Culottes

coat-H&M(similar here ), scarf-J.Crew(more options here ), sweater- Le Tote , culottes-Mango(similar here ), boots-Nine West(similar here ) This OOTD can be surprisingly versatile when it comes to shapes, angles, and silhouette, not to mention the layering potential.  You may recall I sported this cardigan last spring with pink pants here .  For a winter wearing I've kept the palette black and white, and played with proportion balancing the wider leg of these culottes with the cinched peplum of the cardigan. The infinity scarf, with it's various loops, changes up the neckline, and the peacoat provides some sharp edges to the knitwear pieces. Also, this cardi features snaps as opposed to buttons, so you could easily layer pieces underneath. You can't see it, but I have a black knit tank as a base layer on this sweater. Like I said, surprisingly versatile!

Slice, Slice Baby

cardi-Anthropologie(more options here ), T-shirt / sunnies -Target, scarf-J.Crew Factory(more scarves here ), maternity jeans- Gap , boots- Sam Edelman via Nordstrom I have a special place in my heart for ironic/graphic T-shirts over baby bumps. You may recall this punning number from this post during my last pregnancy. And speaking of puns, did anyone else catch my use of the word "heart" and the fact that the graphic above is heart-shaped?! 😜 Anyone...anyone? Anyway, this black n' white casual ensemble is both fun and functional with it's array of pockets and layers, that came in quite handy over this past chilly weekend. And speaking of layers, this tee is actually a tank, with a henley from the Gap underneath for a bit more insulation and coverage.

Legging It!

top- Urban CoCo via Amazon , leggings- Champion via Target (similar here ), scarf- American Apparel , kicks- Vans So... American Apparel is back! Granted, I've sort of aged out of the key demographic for this brand, but I still love and wear their unisex v-neck tees, and I've been rocking this infinity scarf for years! But the real story of this outfit is the pairing of casual and athletic wear. I don't usually post active gear, but these leggings and their vibrant teal pattern, are graphic enough for an OOTD feature, no? This breezy top was another successful Amazon fashion purchase , that fits, flatters, and functions for a mom taking the stairs two at a time!
