Outfits Not Just Clothes

I love a matching set for warmer days. Don't get me wrong, a cozy loungewear set is great for curling up when it's cold out, but for being out and about in spring and summer, having a go to top and bottom to just throw on makes outfitting so much easier. I've featured various sets here , here , and here . On this day in May I took a slightly different approach.  sweater / shorts --Quince, tee-Kansas City Kitty(similar here ), sneakers-H&M(similar here ) While this sweater and pair of shorts aren't EXACT matches, the fact that they are from the same brand in the same-ish tone makes them easy pieces to match up. I featured this tee-shirt last June, here . It's a bit more cropped then I normally go for in tees, but these elastic waisted bottoms make for an easy wearing and I love how the graphic is framed when the sweater is worn over the shoulders. There's something about the combination of pink and red (in the right tones) that can seed you from the Christmas festivities right into Valentine's Day season.  Case in point, these side-striped pants from Universal Standard. Here I'm wearing them with a basic black cardi, white sneakers, and a graphic tee with the complimentary shades of pink and red. It helps the t-shirt is also from Universal. In the words of the comedian Tom Segura "Get Fucking Ready!" It's a new year, and I have no clue what joys, horrors, ups, downs, endeavors, and disasters that await.  These pants are a repeat from this post . I think they are just so perfect for winter! shirt /belt/scarf-Gap(more belts here  similar scarf here ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), necklace / ring -Mejuri, bag-J.Jill(similar here ), socks-Target(more options here ), boots- Columbia Sportswear I went with a rugged-chic style for this OOTD, pairing these high-waisted tweedy culottes with a bright red henley, plaid scarf, stripey wool socks, and hiking boots. I'm wearing this scarf almost like a shawl/poncho and using this crossbody bag to create alternative silhouettes. As stated above, these pants are quite versatile. From Tuesday's sporty  post  to a layered look from a dress-over-pants post  a few years back, these navy trousers suit a wide arrange of outfits and are quite warm to boot!
