Another Dress Three Years Apart

Hello Friends! Since we are in the dark depths of winter, which prohibits good outfitting shooting, I figured instead of struggling to get good pics in waning light, rain, and freezing temps, I'd go back into the archives for another "one dress years apart" post, as I did here .  First up, from a post back in September of 2018 This dress from Target was my way back into workwear after my second baby. These bangs were meant to be a style refresh, again upon returning to work, but in the end, they just became bothersome. Here I'm seeing myself covering up with leggings (most likely as shapewear) and a long cardigan. There's a lot of accessorizing going on with the big belt, necklace, and sunnies. The VANS are pure comfort.  About three years later in this post . Belted the dress again, but went for more delicate jewelry and coordinated by footwear from Born with this bag from Shiraleah . This feels more fresh, more carefree, not as weighted down. Went back to r...

Holiday Outfitting has Begun!

coatigan-J.Jill(similar here ), dress-Banana Republic(similar here ), loafers- Anne Klein via DSW , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) You may recall this dress (and doorway) from back in  March 2018    when I was six months preggo with baby #2. I also wore this wrap for baby #1's baptism in  January 2016  so needless to say a classic wrap dress can see a woman through a lot of phases and body transitions.  Also needless to say, but I'm going to say it anyway, I look freakin' amazing! Which is another reason why a quality wrap dress should be in every woman's wardrobe, they are so flattering. Paired with my go-to coatigan and practical loafers, this OOTD is a vivid start to the holiday outfitting season. I'd highly recommend busting out a wrap style frock for any, and all of your holiday happenings this year. I  rocked a warp forlast year's family Christmas time , and will definitely be addi...

Primary Colors Pushing

shirt- Uniqlo , vest-Old Navy(similar here ), dress- Anne Klein via Macy's , sneakers-Zara(similar here ) I was heavily pregnant that last time I featured this frock, here . It was a real work horse for me during my last trimester.  Now 10 months since having my baby, spring has officially sprung and this pocketed midi is again doing the work for me. I wrote about spring florals in my last post , and that they can be a bit too expected this time of year. Well the dark background, graphic rendering, and primary colors of this flowery print help push against those expectations. Plus, the styling with a causal fleece vest and sporty statement kicks also pushes my mom style from frumpy to fun!  I just realized I have "pushing" in the title and copy of this post, while referencing birthing a baby. HA! Get it, "pushing" and "birthing"! 👶🚼😄😃

In Neutral Mode

cardi-Banana Republic(similar here ), dress/ sunnies -Target(similar dress here ), belt-Gap(more belts here ), sneakers- VANS , necklace-Anthropologie(similar here ) I'm currently in a neutrals mood when it comes to workwear, as seen here and here . I think black and beige is so on-point for September, as it gives a nod to the coming fall, but still has a hint of the summer weather we must endure. This also works with black and olive, and navy and beige. I tend to stay away from whites this time of year because they are too "fresh" for this transitional season from summer to fall. At this point of the season, I'm just trying to get through the weather I hate sweaty Septembers. Longing for crisp mornings, cool evenings, long sleeves, and plaids. Come on Autumn!
