Little Chambray Dress

dress- eShakti slip-ons- Native Shoes A little chambray dress is a great alternative to a little white dress during these late summer days. I've been on the search for just the right fit, feel, and fabric for quite some time. I think I've found my go-to summer staple with this frock from eShaki . It's easy, flattering, and of course pockets(!!!) I literally threw this on (over a cami), along with my summer slip-ons and sunglasses then headed out the door. And what a beautiful day! You can see the amazing blue sky in the window reflection, with just the right amount of breeze to add some movement to this sweet little dress. What a  simple and pretty summer style moment, right in time or Labor Day!

Personal Style as Personal Expression

blazer-J.Crew(similar here ), shirt-Anthropologie(similar here ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), flats- Gap I'll readily admit that I don't really feel like myself without my personal style. Lately my style has been wavering (at least in my own estimation) as my body is still transitioning/settling after having baby #2. Not being able to fit into my clothes, especially workwear, has given my self esteem quite a blow, which you can read more about here .  Also, what the F is happening with my hair?  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I only feel good about myself when I look a certain way. OR, that I need to look a certain way in order to have self worth. What I'm saying that I'm currently in the midst of negotiating a new sense of myself(what with motherhood and getting older in general) and how I want/can reflect/express that in my personal style.  Speaking of which, this OOTD is yet another iteration of m...

Boho Schmatta

cardi-Banana Republic(similar here ), dress- Old Navy , necklace-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), flats-Dr. Scholls(similar here ), ring-Gifted (similar from Novica here ) For the past year or so I've been experimenting and exploring a more boho aesthetic (as seen here , here and here ). At first it was the ease in silhouette that was drawing me to this style, but I think I may be getting on board with paisleys and crochet, both of which are singing on this sweet little dress.  And speaking of easy silhouettes, yes this frock is definitely hanging out in schmatta territory, which is a good thing in my style book! Check out these post  here and here  for the rundown on that noise. I love a good throw-on-and-go loose dress in general, and for summer especially. Will definitely be busting out this dress a few more times before the month is out!

Zara Baby

Longtime readers know I've been a fan of Zara for years and have not only shopped their online site, but made a point of visiting their brick and mortars locations when I've been in the Philly and DC areas visiting family. Well, you can imagine my surprise and delight when I discovered they have BABY CLOTHES!!!! And, they are currently having sale on said baby clothes. Here's a rundown of what I've picked out for our Little Miss Lady Baby: Ramones Sweatshirt For the little Punk Rocker, I ordered this Ramones sweatshirt in size 12-18 months so she can rock out in the new year!  Printed Top Close-up of the graphic, precious without being overly sweety-sweet Turn-Up Leggings Blue leggings, just a good staple to have because they would go with just about every top in this post!  Printed Sweatshirt Rib Knit Leggings These green leggings and the lime-green striped sweatshirt above will be a fun, graphic look!
