Starry Blue Nights

This is the third post in a row we shot at this park near our house. This grove of trees and the light was giving all of the warm and fuzzy fall feels.  This outfit started with an outfit formula of statement blouse, wide-leg pants, & sneakers. From there the weather really dictated the rest of the look with some outerwear, a cozy beanie, and  fingerless mittens.  blazer-Gap(similar here ), blouse- Anthropologie , jeans-Banana Republic(similar here ), sneakers-Zara(similar here ), hat-similar here from Poshmark , handwarmer--similar options here on Etsy All but one of these pieces has been in my closet for several+ years. I treated myself to this blouse for my birthday in September and I think it may make for a great evening out top, or would that be too on the nose? Here is the earliest post I can find with this blazer, check out the hair!

An 80's Kind of Day

blazer-Gap(more options here ), shirt--Banana Republic(similar here ) belt-Vintage, pants-Zara(similar here ), necklace -Le Tote, boots -Sam Edelman via Nordstrom Another pre-social distancing OOTD, this time with quasi-80's power bitch vibes. Not my normal aesthetic but this oversized tweed blazer and (faux) leather pants are definitely in my style wheelhouse. Both the jacket and trousers have a menswear tone, so this striped, puffy-shoulder top adds a balancing feminine/whimsical element. This vintage braided belt was a bit of an after thought but I love how it literally pulls this look together.  It's been an interesting few weeks, and while I had hoped to get back to regular posting here this spring it doesn't seem to be in the cards. I may try some #workingfromhome outfits, we shall see.  Stay safe, healthy, and sane. 💓💓

Tuxedo Dress

dress- H&M (similar here from Asos ), necklace/sunnies-Gifted, loafers-Zara(similar here ) You wouldn't think a double-breasted tuxedo-esque coat dress would be all that versatile, however the collar does lend itself to a several stylings--flipped or folded as I've done both in the above shots. Since it's still summery out, I wore this on its own as a dress, but come the cooler months this frock can double as a coat/blazer hybrid, standing as a third piece to a shirt-trousers fall look. I'm also thinking this winter it'll wear well underneath a coat to act as middle layer... we shall see.  For now, it's just chic af, don't you agree?
