Outfits Not Just Clothes

 This layered look is a bit deceptive. See below... jacket / boots -Nordstrom, "turtleneck"- Amazon , sweater-Vintage, jeans- Levi's , pin- Wildfang , ring- Skelton Jewelry Another #turtlenecktuesday coming at you! But wait, there's a bit of a trick in this OOTD. Instead of layering a black turtleneck under this orange sweater, it's actually a dickie! A dickie is a great layering alternative, when you want coverage, but don't want to contend with unnecessary bulk, especially if you're also adding outerwear to your look. And I definitely wanted to don this leather jacket one more time before winter sets in. Once again I'm sporting my RBG pin. I love accessories that send a message!

Of course another leather jacket OOTD here for fall, and the glorious autumn afternoon sunshine, paying tribute to RBG , and of course TRAINS! Two trains went by in the time it took to get these shots.  We also had to dodge a few cars since I'm in the middle of the street. As for the outfit, I'm keeping the turtleneck action  going with a standard black turtleneck, grey trousers, and sporty sneakers.  The jacket, shoes, and pin really elevate this sweater and pants into an unexpectedly edgy look.

In keeping with the theme of my first LJOOTD post , I'm again posing in from of a colorful mural! This one of the Hulk and Wolverine can be found in the strip district near the 31st street bridge.  The tag is "crass boys" but I couldn't find anything from a quick Google for more info.  As to the outfit, sporting my new combat boots with this jacket, while mixing in some quirky polka-dot pants. And what badass female ensemble would be complete without a Ruth Bader Ginsburg pin! Representing  gender equality and powerful women, and hoping for a brighter, socially just future.  Election days is upon us.
