Outfits Not Just Clothes

You may recall the various #twinning posts with my daughter here , here , and here . Well this past spring I gave birth to another daughter and the idea of coordinating a baby, toddler, and mommy outfits may send me over the edge (in a good way) for this upcoming holiday season. I now have coordinated ensembles for both Thanksgiving & Christmas this year. Needless to say I am SUPER pysched, getting literal chills just thinking about the pics.  First up, Thanksgiving!  Old Navy Wrap Toddler Dress Baby Dress For these three dresses I simply typed "burgundy florals" into the search at OldNavy.com and found these beauties. I've posted coordinated #twinning #OOTDs with my daughter several times over the past few months( here , here , and here ). And as each post has taught me, it's much more difficult to outfit pic with a toddler... our most recent attempt... Not bad, right? But when it came time for close-ups.... Not so much, eh? Even with rubber ducky Little Miss was not having it with outfit pics. So, as any good parent knows, you have to be flexible, hence we abandoned photos. At nap time we got our standard outfit pics: blazer-Zara(similarish here ), shirt-J.Crew(more options here ), shorts- Old Navy , sneakers-Vans(similar here ) Pushing the boundaries of office wear this (warm) autumn in a "short suit." A longer short is key to putting together a suit with separates, like this black pair and linen blazer. The leopard print nicely pulls together the basic pieces and give this outfit some edge. This past Sunday we put on our respective fox shirts and navy sweats to explore the Frick Environmental Center As in this post , we're coordinated more so than matching, and while the foxes are the most obvious link, the navy bottoms and layered thermals also call to each other in these paired outfits!   Now it's time for kisses!

My little girl and I have had a handful of posts together seen here , here , and here . I think this is my second favorite so far. We've started putting her hair in pigtails and her little face is just so freakin' cute!  As for our outfits, I kept us to a mostly blue palette with hints of pink. Our dresses, while not exact matches do nicely coordinate with their respective abstract, geometric/bohemian-esque patterns for another successful #twinning moment! 

I've posted #twinning outfits with my daughter here , here , & here . For a recent road trip I decided on coordinated, more so than matching ensembles. Here are our looks laid out: I was going for black & white with denim. I've been on a B&W kick as you can see from this post . When we made a quick rest stop we tried to get shots of baby girl and I in our coordinated ensembles: Then someone decided they were much more interested in checking out a huge yellow pipe! And when I tried to redirect her attention back to taking pics things got a bit out of hand, literally.... So we snapped a few final shots of just me.
