Outfits Not Just Clothes

 A couple of Saturdays ago took the kiddos out and about in Lawrenceville to check out Market House , Fancypants Popcorn , and Millies Ice Cream . It was a really gorgeous day and what better reason is there then to throw on a jumpsuit?! As if I need a reason... Jumpsuit/Bralette-- Three Birds Nest , shirt-- Anthropologie , necklace-- Benevolence LA earrings-- BeUStudios via Etsy rings- Mejuri , bracelet-- Bayou with Love , boots- LL. Bean , mask/chain-- MaskC , sunnies-- Ralph Lauren Giving weekend mom a boho twist in this jumpsuit-bralette pairing. One thing I'm not loving is the lack of pockets in this one-piece, however this plaid tunic does have pockets, last seen  here . I'm a big fan of jumpsuits and rompers, especially when summer hits. Last year I even fooled around with an "exercise" dress here . I know people can be down on one-pieces with the whole "How do you go to the bathroom" of it all, but for me it's not a problem. It has been a scorcher of a summer and getting dressed has been all about keeping it simple, functional, and stylish if possible. This exercise dress seems to fit that brief all things considered. With a built in bra, bike shorts, and pockets is a simple thrown-on-and-go piece. This outfit was pure Weekend-Mom with my crossbody bag, hiking sneakers, and mask chain.  tennis dress-Outdoor Vocies(more options here ), sunnies-Adara (more here ) necklace- Mejuri , mask- MaskC , bag- Waterfly ,  watch-Michael Kors(similar here ), sneakers--Ascis(more options here ) I can also see this working with a cardi on cooler days, but I've been wearing it as a stand alone piece, and have actually exercised in it! 

It was a beautiful over the weekend and we hit up one of our favorite views and places to scamper about. Never mind that's it's conveniently on the way to Costco... I used to feature my older daughter when she was a toddler in some posts( here , and  here ) but as you may be able to tell, these little girls are not interested in staying still for pictures.  So it's mom posing in her colorblock leggings and them running from bumble bees.  You may recall a similar active wear post from the fall. Apparently I really enjoy pairing plaid shirts with matching sets...   Anyway, this OOTD is full of bright colors and functionality, great for weekend wear!

Embrace the end of the workweek and the laid back vibes of summer in short form. For this week I went with a tropical theme in these drawstring men's shorts from Forever21 . Yep these are boy shorts! If you're a fan of novelty prints and/or quirky style, then I highly recommend checking out the men's section, especially for drawstring shorts. The patterns are just (if not more) dynamic, they are comfortable, have pockets, and come in longer lengths. Too often, from my experience, women's patterned shorts can be quite short and ride up in uncomfortable and unflattering ways.
