Runway Outfit Inspiration

The "arrow" necklace used to be my Dad's from the 70's. He asked if I wanted it in the box of other trinkets, like pins and cuff links. Me: "Of course!" Dad: "Well what are you going to do with it?" Me: "Wear it, duh." Dad: "You know this is a man's necklace?" Me: "So, my neck is as good as any man's, I think I can handle it."  blazer- J.Crew via Threadflip (similar here ), shirt-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), tee- Style Mint , pants- Gap , loafers-Zara(similar here ), necklace- chloe + isabel c/o Angela B , other necklace-gifted/vintage This outfit was inspired by Burberry Spring 2014 Men's runway, featured here . Pics from the collection: I interpreted these runway ensembles as black pants on the bottom to ground the look, then having mixed color etc. up top.  I've explored a variety of outfit inspirations in posts like here and here . London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week by bernadetteulsamer featuring a white floral shirt London Fashion week has just wrapped up and now the fashion Jet Set are in Milan, next up Paris.  I wasn't able to attend this year, big surprise I know, but if I had the chance I would have rocked some designer pieces like the outfit pictured above.  But, let's be real, this is all just a fantasy. Maybe, one day I could sneak into an NYC show, but London and the rest probably aren't in my future. A girl can always dream.  And in my dream I would be sporting this gorgeous Burberry coat over some Stella McCartney bejeweled shorts and sweater, with killer Vivenne Westwood heels!  Everything in this look, except for the jewelry are from British brands with which is only appro when you're running around Piccadilly Square, am I right?  Fantasy aside, this is a type of outfit I would totally wear IRL.  Flirty cocktail shorts with graphic tights, heeled booties, and a printed b...

Boys On The Side

Here are some pictures of boys' clothes:  Burberry Christopher Kane J. W. Anderson     Looks from the Men's Spring 2014 collections. I am in love with the Burberry looks. All that color and those layers on top,  while keeping things skinny and dark on the bottom. Something I may very well try in my own outfitting. Digging the patterns from Christopher Kane.  J.W. Anderson pushed the androgyny envelope and I think we'll see fuller trousers for both men and women next year.  All images via Style.com

Ideal Autumn Outfit

Ideal Autumn Outfit by bernadetteulsamer featuring acetate sunglasses I LOVE the color palette here.  This summer started off with lots of orange and bright patterns. I'm very ready for more neutral tones.  Of course animal print pants are anything but neutral, especially paired with stripes and statement heels.  And that's the thing about dressing in muted colors, they don't have to be boring, there can still be interest/intrigue in the details and textures.

Fall 2012 Wish List

Every August I start making my "Back to Autumn" wish list, here are a few things I'm fancying: Stripes! Nothing really stands out about this, but I need a beige v-neck sweater This just screams fall, I may have to force Mr. Keller to take me hiking if I pick this up. All the above available at Jcrew I enjoy the military flavor. Available at Romwe So chic at Asos And an inspiration item from Burberry which I totally cannot afford . So just a few things to salivate over until autumn is here.
