Little Chambray Dress

dress- eShakti slip-ons- Native Shoes A little chambray dress is a great alternative to a little white dress during these late summer days. I've been on the search for just the right fit, feel, and fabric for quite some time. I think I've found my go-to summer staple with this frock from eShaki . It's easy, flattering, and of course pockets(!!!) I literally threw this on (over a cami), along with my summer slip-ons and sunglasses then headed out the door. And what a beautiful day! You can see the amazing blue sky in the window reflection, with just the right amount of breeze to add some movement to this sweet little dress. What a  simple and pretty summer style moment, right in time or Labor Day!

Confession Time on Recent Buys

My Year of No Shopping announced last September has been a bust! I've strayed from my self-imposed fast over a dozen times. Why? Well because I love clothes, and good deals, and evolving my personal style. Here are the  main culprits.... It hits all of my current criteria for a dresses--easy fit, versatile, interesting, and has pockets!  Vans Also, wanted/needed an easy slip-on casual shoe, as seen in this post .  Shift from Anthropologie This layering piece was such a good deal, and in a color I don't often wear. This post shows how it's an easy-throw-on piece to add some color to a basic black outfit.  Cardigan from Anthropolige This cardigan speaks to my new-found lust fo...

New Baby New Shoes

Having a baby and hauling said baby to daycare everyday can really put a kink in your step, and your shoe style. Plus our daycare has a "no shoes in classroom" policy, mentioned in yesterday's post , which means I have to take off my shoes when I enter her classroom for drop off & pick up.  So the days of intricate/strappy footwear are suspended until further notice. Hence, I'm in need of supportive, stylish, and easy to slip on/off shoes for the next 5-7 years of my life! So, I've ordered a few pairs, and have my eye a few others.... Dr. Scholls It doesn't get more supportive than Dr. Scholls, amiright? I snagged these polka-dotted slip-ons from a Zulily sale, and not only am I looking forward to sporting some dots here this spring & summer, I'm also super-psyched about the tread! The rainy days of April are here and there's nothing more disheartening than damp feet from flimsy flats, can I get an "Amen"!? ModCloth T...
