Outfits Not Just Clothes

London Fashion Week by bernadetteulsamer featuring a white floral shirt London Fashion week has just wrapped up and now the fashion Jet Set are in Milan, next up Paris.  I wasn't able to attend this year, big surprise I know, but if I had the chance I would have rocked some designer pieces like the outfit pictured above.  But, let's be real, this is all just a fantasy. Maybe, one day I could sneak into an NYC show, but London and the rest probably aren't in my future. A girl can always dream.  And in my dream I would be sporting this gorgeous Burberry coat over some Stella McCartney bejeweled shorts and sweater, with killer Vivenne Westwood heels!  Everything in this look, except for the jewelry are from British brands with which is only appro when you're running around Piccadilly Square, am I right?  Fantasy aside, this is a type of outfit I would totally wear IRL.  Flirty cocktail shorts with graphic tights, heeled booties, and a printed b...

Weekend With Friends by bernadetteulsamer featuring tree wall art Tomorrow Mr. Keller and I are headed to see friends in Red Lion, PA , which is outside of York . Nothing crazy planned just hanging out, playing board games, drinking wine, and going out for a fancy-ish dinnner. We have reservations at the Left Bank in York. From checking out their website I suspect we are in for some good eats! For the trip, I'm planning a "uniform" of sorts with my red cords seen here , a few sweaters and button-down shirt options. Definitely bringing some fun/funky comfy pants and a couple of books for the car ride. What are your weekend plans?  

Winter Blues, Teals, & Blacks by bernadetteulsamer featuring western hats This is my ideal uniform for winter at the moment. I've been rocking a variety of blue n' black, navy n' black, and blue n' teal combos here lately, with some grounding grey thrown in for good measure. I've also been all about comfort in leggings with sweater dress and tunics. A key trick to staying warm in these low temps is tights. Some ladies have utter disdain for tights and pantyhose because of the whole sausage effect, but I've found if you avoid control panel hose it's hardly an issue. So it'll be tights under everything (even leggings) for this outfitter for a while. 

Colorado Chirstmas by bernadetteulsamer featuring a mini pouch In two weeks I'll be in Fort Collins, CO spending Christmas with both my Mom and brother for the first time in almost a decade! And when I think Colorado Christmas I think let's keep this alteration going so I'll be packing corduroy and cardigans for the trip. But, in all seriousness, chunky cardigans, skinnie cords, fuzzy socks, I mean come on, ideal right?! 

What I'm Feeling This Fall by bernadetteulsamer featuring an infinity loop scarf The title basically says it all. I'm in the market for some dark red cords/jeans, as well as an old-school backpack, and some chunky knitwear. Of course I'm having a major stripes moment and wouldn't be opposed to picking up a few more striped tees.  I already have similar versions of this skirt, blazer, and sneakers so check back soon for posts featuring those items. 

I'm going to eschew the standard red, white, n' blue this 4th of July and go with some purple and orange tie-dye. I know, I'm such a rebel. But remember it was rebels that founded this country, USA! To go with this maxi I'm thinking studded slip-on sneaks, delicate rings and a light scarf in case of any nighttime chills before the fireworks kick off.  Happy 4th!
