Outfits Not Just Clothes

Say what you will about Kanye West the man certainly as a "vision" when it comes to his music and artistic ventures. The latest  of such being a designer collab with Adidas that debuted at NYC Fashion Week. all above images via Style.com This plays right into the Athleisure trend, of which I'm a fan. However, the lack of proper pants is troubling. These are basically full-body pantyhose, which don't really feel much like fashion, but more so costumes for a revival of A Chorus Line with a post-apocalyptic bent, which I would totally go see! That sounds like an awesome idea for that musical, right? But in all seriousness I don't see a big explosion of pantyhose-as-pants with sweatshirt tucked into them happening anytime soon. Jcrew JewelMint There are times I buy clothes for an occasion or purpose, like parties, work, vacations.  But there are other times when the price is right and the item is just too awesome not to get.  The dress above is a prime example.  Jcrew Factory had 50% off and the gown, originally $78 was going for $38! The necklace is just too interesting to pass up and together I think they will create a stunning outfit.  But where to wear?  There are some outfits that call for an occasions and there are others that are an occasion within themselves.  For this potential outfit the latter might just be the case.  There's nothing wrong with looking fabulous on your back porch having a cocktail.
