She's Outdoorsy!

Over the holidays we stayed close to home, but were able to get outside a bit. Spent most days wearing a version of this outfit. Over the past year I've gone more casual in my looks, but am always looking to elevate your basic sweatshirt and leggings. So it's a forest-printed pullover and colorblock leggings!  sweatshirt- Signals , leggings-Old Navy(all the leggings here ), scarf-American Apparel(similar here ), bag-- Herschel via FabFitFun , sneakers-Asics(similar here ), ring- Skelton Jewelry It was a very grey overcast (yet oddly warm) December day when we took these pictures.  I felt silly wearing sunglasses, so it's a rare bare face post. Well not bare, I'm wearing some Glossier , I'm not insane. As mentioned above, causal/active wear doesn't have to be shclumpy or boring, finding and pairing standard pieces rendered in prints and fun colors takes the boring out of basics.

Bumpin'

vest-Mango(similarish here ), cardigan-Free People(similar here ), shirt- Gap Maternity , leggings- Old Navy Maternity , scarf- American Apparel , boots- H&M , necklace-Gifted Yes folks, I am expecting once again! #kellerbaby2018 You may recall the reveal of my 1st pregnancy back in 2015 here . This time I waited a tad longer because it's winter and I've been outfitting with looser silhouettes which don't lend themselves to showcasing the bump. My 1st time around, when it was Spring/Summer I wore more fitted pieces, hence the bump was more obvious.  But enough about my uterus business let's turn our attention to this maternity OOTD! First, I want to note my slick layering of a longer-length cardigan UNDER this collared and pocketed knit gilet. This layered combo is an unexpected outerwear alternative and the extended hems are great for a leggings look. Said leggings and striped shirt are maternity pieces, and the flat boo...

Blue Schmatta Sundays

cardigan-Zara(similar here ), dress- Romacci via Amazon , bag - Mordenmiss via Amazon , ring-Jewel Mint(similar here via Poshmark ), boots-Landsend(similar here ), leg warmers-American Apparel(similar here ) This cardigan has become quite the wardrobe workhorse here this fall/winter, as seen here and here . For this blue-toned OOTD it gave some structure and shape to a chambray schmatta. The woven tote, knit legwarmers, and duck boots were all functional add-ons as we went were out and about exploring this weekend at Free Museum Sundays and the neighborhood playground.

Versatile Pants

blazer-J.Crew(more options here ), blouse-Gap(similar here ), pants-Uniqlo(similar here ), scarf- American Apparel , socks-Target(similar here ), boots-Landsend(similar  here ) These pull-on pants from Uniqlo  have seen me through many a ho-hum workday. In this OOTD they serve as the base for a three-way print mix of tweedy plaid, florals, and argyle. The patterns all work with their similar hues, while the trousers with some zuzhing, almost appear like joggers to give the more "classic" blazer and blouse combo a modern twist.
