My 2018 Must Haves

The weather is finally starting to break here in Pittsburgh, so OOTDs are coming soon! In the meantime I've started by my Shopping List of Must Haves for 2018. Carrier Bag This crossbody/shoulder bag hybrid from Moop is more than I usually spend on a day bag, but I'm ready to invest and upgrade! The neutral grey and waxed canvas makes this versatile and highly functional, both of which are must-have features for my Must-Haves of 2018, Momma ain't playin!  Waterproof Boot Speaking of functional and versatile, I'm in the market for a black, waterproof boot! This option from Nordstrom has tread and is nondescript is a good way, as in it doesn't look like a snowboot, just a neutral black boot, perfect for the office in winter. I'm very much over wearing a functional pair of shoes to get to work, then changing into a stylish pair for being at work. I want footwear that can serve me all day long. That's not asking too much, right? Vest Dre...

Wish List Xmas

You may recall that I started another year of no shopping back in September, that doesn't mean I'm not in the market for some Christmas-time gift giving! Here are a few items from the wish list I sent Santa! Zara The blouse isn't my usual style, but frilly sleeves and whimsical silhouettes aren't going anywhere for a while, so I may as well dip my toe in, so to speak!  Selfridges And I'm thinking this blazer would be the perfect topper to a romantic blouse, and speaks more to my outfitting wheelhouse.  Moop I've been eyeing up Moop bags for years, but have never taken the plunge, which is a shame because it's a local Pittsburgh business that I should support. I love this Porter bag because it's huge, versatile, and simply chic. Vans I just recently discovered these unisex and waterproof sneakers! I mean you had me at waterproof, right?  I'm thinking none of these items will be under my tree Christmas morning, BUT I r...

Prep List

With Easter less than two weeks away my 40 Days of No Shopping (announced here ) will be coming to an end. So in order not to go hog wild I'm taking direction from Who What Wear's Shopping List for Spring Who What Wear The majority of trend-driven items aren't really in my wheelhouse, which is a nice way of saying cropped culottes are stupid, as are lace-up gladiator flats, but I don't want to be all mean-girls up in this piece. Anyway, I'm using this list as a grounding point and a means of reviewing my seasonal basics to discover what I lack and/or what may be in need of upgrading.  After we celebrate Jesus' resurrection from the dead I'll be on the lookout for quality/dressy tees & tanks, sturdy ankle boots, funky sneakers, chic flats, and a carryall leather bag.  Here's what I have my eye on... Post-Christmas Wish List

Every Christmas Mr. Keller and I share our Amazon wishlists to order from for our gifts to each other. I've also started doing this with my mother and have directed people towards my Pinterest board Things I Crave . I keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best, which I know sounds materialistic, but there's nothing worse then getting a crap gift that you can't use instead of something you really want and have use for in your life, am I right? Of course I am! (On a side-note: another gifting nightmare is when you get something BUTT-ugly from some one and they tell you that they saw it in the store as immediately thought of you.... thanks!) Even though I do share/advertise to my family and friends my preferred gift options I also have a "behind-the-scenes" list of items I plan on buying during the post-Christmas sales with any money I may have been gifted in lieu of a present.  FYI: money is always a good gift AND let's one put an  exact value on a relati...
