Office Leisure Wear

blazer- The Limited (similar from ThredUp here ), shirt- Mango , pants- Zara , kicks- Vans , necklace- chloe + isabel , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ) Well apparently The Limited has shut down all of it's brick n' mortar locations and it's website is temporarily "closed". I remember growing up The Limited was the most sophisticated store in our mall back home, so it's kind of sad to hear about this down turn. This blazer was purchased from a mall Limited back in 2008 (!!!!) which is probably the last time I bought something from an actual Limited store....so yeah, I sure as shit haven't been helping. Retailer fates aside, I'm still going strong this week with black n' white work wear, as seen here and here . This go round is a bit more casual with drawstring trousers, sneakers, and gingham shirt. The blazer, watch, and necklace bring some polish to the overall look making it work appro, hence I'm dubb...

Dreaming of a Silver Xmas

wrap- American Apparel , dress-Banana Republic(similar here ), skirt- LuLa Roe , necklace-Gifted(similar here from The Limited ), gloves-Target(similar here ), boots-DSW(similar here ) In my last post I was all pinks, plaids, and florals, for THIS holiday outfit it's all about minimal greys and silvers. That's the great thing about festive dressing, you can go crazy with print mixing, or you can keep things simple, yet chic. Whatever route you take, please please, make it warm one. At a recent holiday party I saw a younger woman wearing a lace dress without tights! Oh honey, maybe it's just the wisdom that comes with age, but no ensemble is worth freezing over!

DVF Still Going Strong!!

dress-Diane Von Furstenberg(similarish here ), heels- Nine West , necklace-Gifted via The Limited (more options here ), watch- Nixon via Urban Outiftters I've blogged this DVF dress before here and I'm super-excited that it fits AND flatters now that we're at 30 weeks of baby gestation. And yes, I do realize I'm sporting the Pittsburgh black n' gold, but that was not my intention when picking up this dress on super sale. It's just a great piece with a fun, yet wearable print. Sorry, I'm just a fair weather fan...  Also, thanks to my friend Kat for this amazing necklace gifted last Christmas. Here we are at Karma in Denver, Colorado wearing said necklace, you can kind of see it glimmering.  We're so cute! Miss you.

Chic Fatigues

blazer-The Limited(similar here ), blouse- Sanctuary via Le Tote , cargoes-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), heels- Shoe Mint , bracelet- Adia Kibur via Le Tote , sunnies-Ralph Lauren(similar here )  This camo shirt from Le Tote tends toward the casual side, as do these cargoes, but I blazed it up and smacked on some heels for a no-meetings day at work. With the delicate necklace and bracelet this makes for a fairly chic, yet functional, back-at-the-office-after-a-3-day-holiday-weekend Monday outfit. This blazer is a bit oversized, and maybe a more fitted version would look more polished, but I like how it plays off the cropped cargoes for a balanced silhouette.
