Maxi Skirt Kind of Day

blazer-Gap(similar here ), shirt/ flats -J.Crew Factory(similar shirt here ), skirt- Eight Sixty via Le Tote , necklace- Gazel via Le Tote , ring- Le Tote , watch- Nixon via Urban Outfitters This week has been kind of chilly and overcast, and yesterday differently called for something on the comfy side. This knit maxi fit that bill, while its stripes provided a bit of pattern. I wasn't a hundred percent on how to top it off. I had a sweater at first and then decided to go with this dotted shirt to contrast the stripes, then topped off with a blazer. There's nothing revolutionary about this outfit, but it has some pattern, the blazer provide structure, AND it saw me through a very long day.  Also, the jewelry here is both statement, with the ring, and delicate, in the necklace. Patterns aren't the only subtle contrast going on in this outfit.

Tuxedo & Steps

blazer / pants - Ines de la Fressange for Uniqlo , top-Lemieux via Le Tote , necklaces- House of Harlow /Gazel(similar here ) via Le Tote , bracelet-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), sneakers-Old Navy(similar here ), sunnies- Cookie Lee , watch -Nixon via Urban Outfitters   Yes, this a tuxedo(!!!!) from the ongoing Ines de la Fressange collaboration with Uniqlo. The jacket is velvet--perfect for the holiday season--and the pants wool. I've paired them with this vibrant cobalt blue top, and played off the formality of a tux with sporty printed slip-on sneakers. It's a fun mix of dressy and casual that I think will be a perfect aesthetic for the upcoming holiday party shebang! Also, I love wearing a two, or even up to three, delicate gold necklaces tiered, or layered. It feels intentional with a bit on nonchalant chic.

80's French New Wave

sweater- BB Dakota via Le Tote , tank-Gap(similarish here ), pants- Zara , booties-DSW(similar here ), necklace- Gazel via Le Tote , bracelet-Banana Republic(sort of similar here ) I think the title says it all, I'm bringing some 80's-French-New-Wave Realness in this outfit. The leather pants are totally fun and I love their slouchy fit.  In this striped tunic I'm channeling some Jean Seberg circa Breathless and the open-backed sweater keeps the silhouette easy. Common practice would advise pairing baggy trousers with more fitted tops and vice verse, but I threw caution to the wind and went baggy all over for a  laid-back cool kind of vibe.
