One Great Knit

sweater- BCBGeneration via Le Tote , blouse-Proenza Schouler for Target (similar here from Poshmark ), culottes-Everlane(similar here ), boots-Nine West(similar here ), bracelet-Gifted from World Finds (similar here ) This textured, short-sleeve sweater is one great knit! It provides a semi-structured silhouette, while being easy to wear, and fun to layer! I love how well it pairs up with this herringbone print blouse, while the split sides and square cut mirror the shape of the culottes. Also, with the ruffled neckline properly zuzhed to peak out, there's no need for a necklace. Pattern, texture, shape, and simplicity all in one chic black & white OOTD!

From Comfy to Classy

blazer-Ines de le Fressange for Uniqlo(current collection here ), blouse-Urban Outfitters(similarish here ), skirt-BCBGeneration(more skirts here ), tights- J.Crew , loafers-Zara(a badass version here ), bracelet-Gifted from World Finds Last week I was all about staying comfortable with leggings and a knit hat in this post, here . For today's OOTD I'm bringing classy-chic-realness in mixed prints and velvet. All of these pieces have done the rounds in various other outfits, but this is the first pairing of this blouse and skirt, which is surprising because each print speaks so well to the other. I only happened to notice it when these two garment ended up near to each other in a closet reshuffle. Just goes to show you, it helps to revise your wardrobe organization every so often.

Chic, Not At All Drab

blazer-Banana Republic(similar here ), pants- Gap , tee-Zara(similar here ), scarf-BCBGeneration(more scarves here ), flats- J.Crew Factory , necklace- Le Tote , bracelet-Vintage This outfit is VERY similar to this post . Again, I've taken a standard outfitting concept and created a variation of it, while also making it more seasonally appropriate with a tweed, as opposed to a linen blazer as in the first go-round. What I really dig about this version of this look, is the subtle color play of black, beige, and olive green. Not the most eye-popping tones for sure, but neutrals paired up well will come off as chic, as opposed to drab. God save me from drab! Also, even though this is a basic black tee and trousers, the accessories help to make this an outfit, not just clothes.  Also, also, this necklace was in my maternity tote from Le Tote , which goes to show that accessories are even more essential during pregnancy, as they bring in various s...

Modern Work-Wear

blouse-BCBGeneration(similarish here ), vest-Thrifted(similarish here ), pants-J.Crew(similar here ), necklace- Martin & Osa , loafers- Zara , watch-Michael Kors(similar here ), sunnise- ViVI We've been seeing a lot of these pinstripe pants here this summer, you may recall them from this post , and this post . They speak so perfectly to my aesthetic, and are super comfy that I can't help but reach for them in my current outfitting mode. Here, I've paired them with a bold colorblocked blouse and a thrifted vest, which some may argue is more like a sleeveless blazer with its collar, button, and pockets. Overall, this outfit feels very modern to my sensibilities, but not overly trendy. You may recall my modern suit post here , and I think this outfit is a solid variation on that. The overall looser silhouette and the alternative to the standard blazer all are working for a laid-back, chic, and profesh outfit.
