Outfits Not Just Clothes

  jumpsuit- Banana Republic Factory , tee- For Days , sunnies- DIFF Eyewear , rings- Mejuri , bag- ModCloth (more options here ), sneakers- Zara (more options here ) The season is starting to turn toward fall (finally) and I figured I'd mark the end of summer as I started it--with this jumpsuit ! As in the first post I styled this with a tee and this bright blue crossbody bag. However, for this #OOTD I switched out the striped shirt for a darker v-neck and sandals for sneakers.  I like how this chambray jumpsuit is almost like a grown-up, elevated version of denim overalls, which just goes to show you can recreate casual/youthful looks for your sophisticated lady self.

Bass Factory Outlet , necklace-Banana Republic(similar here ) You may recall that I was a very classy lady in this post  and of course I was wearing the same blazer as I am in this OOTD.  There's something about a camel blazer that brings up the class factor. It doesn't hurt that I'm all sorts of monochrome--realness with a navy cardi, button-down, and loafers. Speaking of navy and classy, looks like I'm ahead of the curve, with Pantone's 2020 Color of the Year  Classic Blue! I'm a HUGE fan of blue in all of it's shades and very happy this year's color takes a sharp left from last year's " Living Coral " 🤯 

blazer-Banana Republic(similarish here ), shirtdress- H&M , leggings- Old Navy Maternity , boots-DSW(similar here ), ring-Jewel Mint(similar here from Poshmark ), necklace-Gifted I featured this shirtdress/tunic on a recent buys post  and am loving it! The color, the fit, the pockets(!!!!) all right up my style alley and quite flattering to my bump. This will also serve me well in the fall when I return to work post-baby. Speaking of fall, yes this OOTD is a bit more autumnal than spring-like, what with the tweedy blazer and knee-high boots, but after the snowy spring we've had here in Pittsburgh I'm not feeling pastels and bare legs just yet. Plus, I'm off the sartorial opinion that olive/military green and navy is a chic, year-round color combo, so there you go! 

culottes/cardigan-J.Crew(similar here and here ), tunic-Gap(similarish here ), necklace/ring-Jewel Mint(similar via Poshmark here and here ), boots-DSW(similar here ) The sheen on these shantung culottes is giving me LIFE!!!! They really amp up the chic factor on this OOTD, while this grandpa-esque cardi brings in some low-key balance. This outfit was originally inspired by a cardigan styling slideshow from Refinery 29 , here's the original inspo pic: I took the general idea of culottes topped with an oversize striped cardigan and made it my own with more of a navy palette, plus boots! Really pleased with the results, what say you?
