Here's the third go round with the chloe + isabel Retro Glam Square-Cut Crystal Necklace c/o fellow fashionista and merchandiser Angela B, check our her blog here. Previously, I rocked it all normcore here and menswear here, now I'm finally going glam and girly, or as girly as I can go. This ruffly blouse was the perfect feminine backdrop to the clean cut crystals of this necklace. I then paired them with this mini-skirt from Madewell that I've had for a number of years, but I believe this is its first blog appearance. This skirt is pretty short, so I went with flats to avoid any "hoochieness" in the look. And of course my favorite Coach bag from my adoring husband and photographer Mr. Keller. So, we have a collab necklace, rented top, super-old skirt, and a gifted bag bringing this outfit to fruition. I love it when an outfit comes together!

And keep an eye out for this necklace in future posts, it's a great versatile piece that I'll be sporting to top off a number of looks for quite some time to come. 40 Year Old Cottagecore

Well as I've been growing my hair during covid quarantine and having picked up this dress as seen here , I felt that I was ready to tackle #cottagecore here on my 40th birthday!!! Yep, that's right today I turn 40 (but I don't look it). And while it's been a year like no other, I feel excited for my next year, decade, chapter of my life. Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway for the wedding in July. Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless. Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July. Most times wearing a coat is a necessity, not necessarily an intricate part of the outfit, but here it really makes the look.
